Customer service was awesome until the end we were a bit forgotten about. Were thinking about desert, but no one came. Then we had to find where to pay.Apart from that the food was amazing and delicious. Husband had the pork belly and I had the duck pancakes which were dairy free and egg free. Brussel sprouts were so good and had a crunchy topping which was so good. They weren’t spicy either so I could handle them.

Terrible service, completely ignored by the staff. Food was average at best, kinda bland, best thing was the pork belly and that was......slightly ok, for the pricey menu, expected more. The other crystalbrook places has been an amazing experience, this one was a real let down. Save yourself the disappointment!

The buffet breakfast was really good, and Nikki was very friendly and helpful too. She and the other waitstaff did a really good job organising the tables. The bar serves great coffee too, and there are a lot of good choices on the dinner menu. I highly recommend dining at the Paper Crane when staying at the Crystalbrook Riley hotel!

Great location, views out over the water and a terrific atmosphere. The food we selected on our two visits was very good and well presented well but the menu is very limited in choice and nothing enticed us for desserts.The full breakfast option at $38 is well worth it (especially if you're hungry) as there is a great selection of food and they will also cook omelettes to order - it doesn't include barrista coffee though.

The entrees (I ordered the salmon sashimi tacos and son-in-law eggs) were nice, but I think the dry-aged beef was ok - not really worth $75. The baby barramundi was also average, didn’t come with the banana leaf which might have made a difference with the flavor.I must say though, customer service was excellent. The kitchen had some issues which caused a back log of orders and the staff acknowledged the delay and very sincerely apologized to us, explaining the situation. That was really appreciated.

Update- came here for dinner this time. Delicious pork belly and beef cheeks (again!). The small plates are brilliant!We came here for lunch with a few friends. I arrived a little early but the staff were helpful and showed me the bar. Cocktail was expensive at $20 AUD, but I have to say it was delicious. Wish it had been in a bigger glass! Staff were great- attentive, friendly and keen to help. For lunch we had the pork bao buns, braised beef cheeks and the curry. I really like the variety of dishes on the menu and the fact that the 'small' dishes were very reasonably priced, yet still filling. We also tried the raspberry and white chocolate mousse for dessert. This was the highlight for me. Presentation was stunning, food was delicious and the serving size was just right. The ambience of this place and the view make it a very attractive place to dine. I'll definitely be coming back.

Full disclaimer: Went to the establishment last year and was a 5 star experience, everything perfect. Just not the same nowWhile the service was kind and attentive and the view of the beach is nice, the cocktails were strange and unenjoyable, being way too sour or sickeningly spiced.Prices remain high and the furniture was covered in insects and bird feces. Bathrooms are dark due to odd lighting choices. 5:30PM Last call unusual, presume this was due to it being monday.
