Really don't like leaving bad reviews but don't want others to have the same experience and their time wasted.I booked an emergency after hours job for a plumber to come out. I was given a 3 hour window (8pm-11pm) in which someone would attend although their FAQs advise that they aim for 1 hour within receiving the phone call.They required an upfront non-refundable 'attendance fee' of $141.90 that must be paid over the phone before a booking can be made. I was also asked if I would like a courtesy call 30 mins prior to the plumber arriving and advised I would.That night at 10.40pm, I received a phone call advising that the plumber had been caught up at another job and they could not give an ETA on their arrival and was given the option of waiting or rebooking. I decided to re book for the next day and was given the option on any time. I requested 2pm and was again advised there will be a 3 hour window of 2pm-5pm. This was a bit annoying as it meant I had to take half a day off from work.At 4.30pm I had not heard from them so I called to double check they were still coming. I was advised there was a 'technical issue' and no one had been allocated the job.They said they could send someone out but they could not advise when. I requested and was permitted to receive a refund of the attendance fee.It cost me my time and money, I would not contact them again for any help and I really would advise to reconsider another business rather than choosing Jim's.
