What an amazing mode of travel. I really enjoyed the cabin and on board service like Bar, Cinemas, ocean facing recliner to relax and lounges. It was a amazing journey with SOT.

Wonderful service. The whole experience was very well organized and the accommodation on the boat was very comfortable. We have a large camper and it was obviously well secured as everything was in the place we left it even though the crossing was a bit bumpy.

The portacot provided by Spirit of Tasmania. We positioned it length ways in direction of travel (baby's head towards front of boat) so baby rocked from side to side and not head to toe. The mattress for the portacot is VERY thin on top of a plank of wood. Not comfortable for baby at all. We brought a foam mattress with us and squished that in there. BYO bedding for portacot.We were in room 8237 and when the boat's engine kicked in the giant mirror on the wall often rattled very loudly. Maybe pack ear plugs to sleep with. Also worth mentioning when boarding the boat we arrived at the time check in opened and waited in line for almost two hours until we were on the boat and could exit our cars. Not fun with a baby in a stationary car for that long. The next morning the playground on the boat was closed which would of been handy to kill time with. Unfortunately I do not recommend travelling on the boat with kids. I hope this information helps someone.

Still waiting in my car after they said to be here almost 2 hours ago. Screaming kids, hot weather. Never again. Not family friendly.

If you go by yourself it is probably boring but anyone with you it is enjoyable

Expensive for a cabin but worth it overall when travelling at night as it saves a nights accommodation. Could do with better pillows though and a good tip is to turn on the heating as soon as you board. Pizzas at the bar are a cheap meal and really nice.
