National Storage Robina, Gold Coast

All units I inspected were smaller than the advertised measurements. Presumably the building floorplan is used - which doesn't account for the internal walls taking up any space as one example. Also, it doesn't account for the roller doors/locks, protruding concrete pillars, etc.. You will need to deduct 20-40mm on each side for walls, up to 300x300mm in 1-2 corners for any concrete structural support beams, then maybe another 150mm for the roller door latch at various distances from the side wall, plus then I can't recall how much for the roller door guides on top.I went in and measured the unit and found one to do the job and rented it starting February 2022. I did like the optional service where I can have deliveries sent to reception and they'll take it up to the unit. I didn't have much in there to begin with, but got the bigger unit as I planned on sending more. Now that I have put a few more things in the unit and now that its maybe 70% full, I receive a letter in July that they've increased my rent by about 15%. At this rate of increase (15% every 6 months) my cost will have gone from $196 per month at the start of 2022, to $1,048 per month just 6 years later.It's a lot of money to store 6-8 old photocopiers I was using for parts. I would downgrade to a smaller unit but I'd have to go check a bunch more out to find out the placement of the pillars, etc all over again and to be honest, that's just a pain in the butt...Long story short, it's probably a great choice for short-term storage if you're local and able to inspect and measure the unit yourself. It is also important to keep in mind what impact a 15%, 6-monthly price hike and/or the cost to relocate the goods again in 6 months when considering the original advertised price.

I've been using this storage facility for a while now, and I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with the way they have been operating lately. Not only have they been continuously raising the rent, but they've also been adding fees for every little thing they can think of. It feels like they're just trying to squeeze as much money out of their customers as possible, without providing any extra value or services.The worst part is that they don't seem to care about their customers at all. When I asked about the fees, they just shrugged and told me that it's their policy. They don't seem to understand that customers have a choice, and that we can take our business elsewhere.

Staff all very helpful and professional. I rented a space and everyone was great. Facility is good, easy access even though my unit is on 2nd floor. Pri e reasonable.

From the very first call to National Storage the service has been outstanding. The ladies there have been very helpful and are always friendly and welcoming. Josey in particular as she was my first contact. The whole Robina team has delivered service with a smile on every occasion. It is so refreshing to receive such awesome old fashioned service. I havent dealt with Dimitri directly but have spoken to him over the phone and he has been as helpful as his amazing team. I have nothing but praise for the whole team at Robina National Storage and would definitely recommend this facility. Every business needs this team model.

Great facility, easy to access, great staff and location, highly recommend, thanks for the great service, will definitely use these guys again if required.

TERRIBLE - Just got here at 4:57pm, and all the staff was out already and the Closed Sign was at the wall.They asked me what I wanted and I said it was a simple pick up from Brazil Express, but no one could help me. I respect the shop times, but I believe once we get there even 3 minutes before closing, someone could help, once it would take 2mins in my opinion.Poor service.

Top tier storage facility. Very well organised

1. Front desk staff were lovely & very helpful, Marleen especially went above and beyond with her expertise - Marleen should be the manager, I bet she would make sure the cameras were operational...2. My Complaint is with the Manager!!!3. I organised & Paid for a storage unit on the second floor, ready for the removalist to deliver & pack my items into. The removalist (who was recommended by National Storage) decided to Change the Unit I had selected & paid for.The Manager allowed the removalist to change the storage unit that I chose on the second floor & take out a unit on the first floor!!! The Manager did not ring me (the paying customer) to ask if I was happy with the change, he allowed the Removalist to make that decision without consulting me (the removalist said the unit was to small yet I hired another removalist firm to remove the items from the ground floor Unit back up to the second floor unit where all my items were a perfect fit into the second floor Unit, contradictory to what the removalist had said.3. The next complaint is how disappointed I was with the Manager, when I asked to view the camera recording footage, I needed to see what was taken off the delivery truck & added to my storage unit after I found I had missing items once they were delivered to my home.I phoned the Manager, asked to view their camera's, first he told me, I would have to wait till the end of the month to view the footage. I waited then I ring the Manager, only to be told the camera's are faulty & not operational, they were having technical problems & technicians were looking into the problem - so why didn't he tell me this when I first rang him!!! does this means their camera's are non operational!!!I found it interesting that the camera's in the officer were all working, it just didn't make sense why the Manager could not or would not let me view the camera footage, to see what happened to my items that I had in storage - I was very disappointed & I certainly would not recommend Robina National Storage.
