South City Panels

Put a new door panel on my car. It looks awesome. Only negative is I was without the car for 5 days. Office staff were friendly and helpful, and the tradies did an excellent job.

Came here about a year ago to get some work done through insurance, and some extra damage to the car. Everything they did to the car was terrible. Had to go back twice to get things fixed up and still there's problems with the car. It's got to the point where i should warn other people.The front bumper they replaced isn't painted properly at the edge of the panel where it meets the front fender, and the paint match is off. The panel gap is also way off on the right side of the front bumper. They didn't even put my number plate back on straight.After they removed my side skirt to fix the rear fender and rear bumper they just left the skirt hanging off the side off the car. When i went back to get them to fix it i was told thats just how it was. I spent 5 minutes looking at it to realise they just hadn't clipped it on or used new double sided tape. So spent 15 mins fixing it myself which somehow qualified panel beaters couldn't do.Had to take the car back to get the rear quarter resprayed because there was clearly a big blotch in the middle of the panel where they had just painted one area.Then the rear bumper they fixed up, hasn't been put back on properly. On the left side it sags in under the light and doesn't line up with the rear fender properly.Seems like every couple of weeks i keep finding things they didn't fix or finish properly. Very disappointing, poor workmanship and i would definitely not recommend taking your car here to get fixed.

Dodgy. I went in to ask for a quick quote about a dent. The man gives me a rough estimate and then tells me it will cost $33 for a proper quote. I said ok if you think it will be what you are telling me verbally. The quote comes in hundreds of dollars dearer.....

Never before have I felt the need to leave a review to warn others as much as I have after my car was ‘repaired’ by this business.After a rear end accident in February, we experienced delays, incomplete repairs, further delays, more incomplete repairs, delays, incomplete repairs, delays and finally, 123 days later (yes, truely, we were without our car for more than 1/3 of a year!) we collected a car which now has an ‘intermittent’ fault.Just to warn others let me spell each ‘repair’ outThe accident caused extensive damage to the rear bumper, back and side panels along with lights not working and damage to our tow bar.All was assessed and sent to South City for repair.After 86 days, we were contacted to collect the ‘repaired’ car.The rear panels had been fixed however, the beaver panel had been damaged at repair, the tow bar was incomplete, the paint job was terrible and included bubbles and exposed metal and the interior and rear lights were not working.The car was unroadworthy! So back it went to South City to rectify the things they didn’t fix or broke.Fast forward another two weeks and we go back to collect the supposedly repaired car.This time the paint job had been repaired and the exterior lights, but the interior fittings that were damaged by South City, the interior lights and the tow bar remained unrepaired!So Back the car went for its fourth trip to South City Panels for repair.Nearly three weeks later we get the call to again collect the car.This time the exterior lights are only working intermittently and the car is covered by a sticky substance that marked the paint and there was footprints and excessive industrial dust through the back seat which we unfortunately didn’t see until we got home. This will cost us an expensive detailer fee which really just puts mud icing on a stinking cake.The assessor removed the exterior filth and played with the lights plug but we can’t be confident it won’t fail again.This repairer should be avoided at all costs. Shoddy work, no care and terrible timeframes.If only I could change the rating to zero stars.

Everyone in South city panels were very friendly and accommodating, not to mention the amazing job they’ve done on my car- they even picked up on an issue that weren’t taken cared of properly from when I had a repair done elsewhere. I am more than happy with my experience with them xx

Had a great experience with SCP. Staff were super friendly. Communication whilst waiting for the repair was great. Job was completed on time and to my satisfaction.Car was immaculate on collection.

Everything went well really happy with the work done and how the car was presented at pick up.One little quibble, I miss placed my wallet, I phoned South City Panels and asked if it was in the car, no wallet in car was answer. After cancelling all my cards, driving licence replacement put in place I collected the car a few days latter I discovered the wallet in the door pocket.

Our vehicle was extensively damaged in Melbourne's hail storm in January. The work carried out by Mark and the team at South City Panels was excellent. The car is special to us and it was well looked after whilst in their care.

Really fantastic from start to finish: completed the repair in less than 2 weeks; arranged a taxi and hire car; kept me in touch about progress, finished on time; and did a great job! Highly recommend!
