Despite the weird caretaker it’s a nice place just because of the lake. The toilets got cleaned just after when more ppl came to the campsite. There is no shower which has a potential to have.

Stunning view! A lot of flies, and I mean a lot, we got out of the car to see an echidna and the car was full of flies in seconds! As the camping ground goes, the soft floor didn’t phase us but the lack of shade the day we went was brutal.

Beautiful Spot surrounded by gorgeous Lake Burbury with amazing views of Mt. Owen and others. Great cheap camp spot to fish & have a camp fire. Well maintained. There is lots of space to park campers and Caravans, while the tent/swag area is huge. Can camp anywhere on the grassy area.Toilets (flushing) are pretty new and clean, though they are a little far from the camp area, depending on where you park. No showers.Camp kitchen is just a shelter with a couple benches. No cooking facilities that I saw. A few bbq tables around the grassy area.Paid $6 for the night, pay to the caretaker or leave in honesty box.

Tasmania is dense with beauty and my mouth has oft gaped with awe at the sheer magic and natural festivity of even the most benign places - even stopping just off the roadside to shake off the driving momentum. This lake however, will forever more be a highlight in my life. My words, as vast and peotic as they may be don't and may never do this very special place justice. I also wish whole heartedly that my photography skill was on par with excellence.Though I've been softening my harsh appraisal of all things lately, it's still uncanny for myself to express my feelings about the joy this lake brought me during my visit.Huey was kind enough to paint many rainbows and the waters here are a dreamscape to paddle within. The campgrounds do just fine, the bathrooms may be a little run down but they work well enough and at a mere $6 a night, well, what sane person would be disappointed? No - seriously, I'm not sure I know enough about sane people to speak for them?

Well maintained campsites and driveway. Clean toilets and nice BBQ area with rain water. Ducks and wallabies everywhere. Beautiful views of the lake and a short drive to Nelson Falls. $6 for the night.

Million dollar lake view!! So worth it. Not sure why people are complaining about soft ground, there were plenty of gravel areas to park if needed but we had no problems with soft ground. Not crowded. Only $6. Nice staff. Garbage bins, toilets with sink and soap, drinking water, fire pits, picnic tables, boat ramp, bbq area.

From the sign it seems like it's $6 for a night. The campsite is very easy to get to. There's a camp kitchen and a public toilet. Very big and spacious campground, just right next to the lake! There's no mobile reception here.

The lake is huge backed by the rugged mountains of that area so nice scenery.Plenty of room for caravans and camping, toilets are brand new, there's a camp kitchen with gas BBQ and bins on site.
