Went here for lunch. Prices are unbelievably cheap. Salad that came with a Parma was not your prepackaged stuff, it was all fresh ingredients. Parma itself was generous, an actual chicken breast, not the standard catering schnitzel with Napoli sauce and cheese. This had crispy bacon. I know right? Looked and smelled clean, although I didn't use the facilities. Staff quite friendly too. Little disappointed the beer taps were off, but it was a Sunday lunch time, I suppose they need to be cleaned some time. There was a singing school or open mic thing in a back room, that resulted in some quite pleasant live music filtering through. It was generally quiet, with people at the open mic thing being the majority of patrons.Food came out reasonably quickly even though I overheard they were short-handed in the kitchen, and was of a high quality for the price. Good selection of beers in the fridge, including some of the more rare craft brews.

I found the Central good as I had a friend do a live gig there. I had a great night and tho this may make me a little one eyed, so I guess the most important thing is yes I would go back, even though it's only been once, I felt comfortable and welcome

The Central Club Hotel is and has been one of the premier live music venues in melbourne for the past 40 years. The stage is of a good size and has a pa that compliments the room. I have been going there for years and would recommend that you get a bunch of friends and dance the night away with their premier live acts that play there on a regular basis

A real treat of a dive. Has a drive through bottle o attached. Has a variety of gigs playing. Has duct tape on floors. I love this part of the place. Divey charm and a good watering hole for the fellas. She's not pretty but gets the people in and the job done. The bottle shop is wildly overpriced and should be a xxl last resort. All wines still have dust over them. Fridge beers are normal.

I have been to this venue and performed twice (in the space of three years) A particular lady from the bar staff was rude and abrasive to us on both of those occasions. I was surprised that this hadn't changed even in three years.Unfortunately this venue is a little out of the way of other nightlife & usual live music spots, so there's not a lot of regular gig goers. Which made pulling people out to the venue rather difficult for an emerging local artist. I was surprised to find out that the ticketed entry being charged was a full $20 to see local artists. This seemed to discourage people from attending our event.I think the venue itself has a great space however the ticketed gigs draws people away. The sports bar was packed around dinner time and had this been a free entry gig those groups would have stayed for the live entertainment and kept buying drinks. Central Club would probably benefit from bar deals and free entry gigs and removing the rude and abrasive barmaid.Nearly half the toilets in the Women's bathroom were all missing locks and there was what appeared to be mould covering the mirror.
