This is my second time posting this review as my first one (and other negative reviews) were deleted when the owner ‘closed’ this business online, and ‘reopened’ a few hours later. I’m re-posting so others can understand the type of business this is.My experience with AHE & the owner, Chrissy, actually started off really well BUT unfortunately that is not the case now. I went through cancer treatment earlier this year & was told that I would lose my hair. I went to AHE to discuss buying a wig & after talking with Chrissy we started the process & I put down a $200 deposit. I’m a young adult, so the Youth Cancer Service organised for charities to help pay for my wig (as I had to stop working due to treatment & personally could not afford it). When the wig arrived, Chrissy told me she had not received the money from the charities so I would need to pay the remaining $1690 and when she received the charity money I would be refunded. My parents gave me this money so that I could pay for the wig & I contacted my social worker at the YCS to see if the money had been paid. I was told that it had & that Chrissy should have it. I then contacted Chrissy & she said she would check her accounts. A few weeks later & I still had not heard from Chrissy so tried contacting again and got no response. My mum then tried contacting her & was told by Chrissy that she would refund the money into our account. A few days passed & we still didn’t receive a refund, and she had stopped responding to my mum & social worker. We tried one last time to contact Chrissy to let her know that if we didn’t receive our refund we would be taking the case to Consumer Affairs. Again no response so we contacted CA, who have accepted & opened an investigation. I feel completely taken advantage of during one of the most horrible times of my life, and find it absolutely unprofessional & indecent to have taken money from a cancer patient as well as charities.
