Poor service and money minded. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs.I had to wait for almost 1 hour from my appointment time to see the doctor. I was here on my GP recommendation to get an opinion based on family history. I also had done ECG prior and results were shared with the doctor. But when I reached the facility they took me to do ECG. Didn’t communicate to me that there is a cost involved or asked if am ok for it and wanted to get it done. Also in the appointment letter they mentioned that “ We request payment of fee at the time of appointment”. When I reached they didn’t request for any payment. But, after I consulted the doctor I was asked to pay AUD 240 for the consultation and AUD 40 for ECG. Could have communicated about this fees when I had reached there but it wasn’t done.Also, for ECG they mentioned that there is a Medicare rebate of AUD 28.10 in the letter provided to me but they processed only AUD 21 in the invoice. When I asked them about it they said they will check and give me a call which never happened. Such a poorly managed facility.

One star is more than they deserve, if I could I would give negative five.Very unorganised, unprofessional and lack of compassion. The receptionist pretended to go get the Doctor, she sat there coughing, then said he was unavailable. Called daily to reschedule an appointment or to talk with the Doctor, never get a call back, even if I talk with reception staff.My heart issues have increased anytime I have to deal with them, you’ll have a heart attack before they contact you.They’re money focused, instead of patient care. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all cost.

Great friendly staff and cardiologist who was very thorough, definitely recommended.

I would like to Thank Sangrita for today, she went above and beyond her normal duties to help me out today. She was professional and most of all - extremely kind and caring towards me. Well done Sangrita. also Dr Chris Wang also was fantastic today, he actually stayed back, past his normal finish time, to squeeze me in, and doing my stress test for me.thank you very much you've both done very well. I highly recommend this clinic, especially if you are lucky enough to have Sangrita and Dr Chris care for you. Well done Heart West St Albans.

Appalling scheduling system. Made an appointment at 4pm, was contacted twice to confirm time, came at 4pm,was told my appointment was rescheduled to 2pm. Additionally, test results didn't get transferred properly between Heartwest Niddrie and Heartwest St Albans, even though i was assured over the phone that we can see test results no matter where actual appointment takes place". Not impressed at all."

My experience here was contrary to the other reviews. I’d seen Dr. Christopher Wang, with a short waiting time, and was lucky enough to have an Echo appointment scheduled soon; other places wanted me to wait upwards of 3months. Not these guys :)). In addition there was communication from the clinic reminding me of my appointment. These guys were very professional, and efficient.

After reading other reviews, I’m regretful I didn’t get another heart specialist. My only positive thing to say about this place is my stenographer was a lovely lady and very thorough, but the rest of my experience was an utter disgust. Firstly my “heart specialist” was more interested in watching his phone and texting for the entire 15min stress test than monitoring what was going on. Whilst asking me why I was getting a stress test at 38 (as if it was an inconvenience to him), I said we have family history of heart disease and diabetes and wanted to get checked out. His reply was “well we can’t just go blaming genetics if were eating ‘Kentucky chook chicken’ (his words) and smoking and drinking a slab everyday. My response was well I don’t eat KFC, nor smoke or drink and my cholesterol is quite low if you cared to look at my chart that I provided - all whilst he was downing a can of Pepsi and eating a bag of jelly beans!! Then he replies “oh yes I’ll give you that your cholesterol is quite good, we’ll then I don’t know what to tell you”. Seriously mate pull your head out of your own backside. Secondly I get that some people need to have their chests shaved to put the monitors on, but you guys could vacuum your carpet once in a while. Stray hairs never look good. Disgusted!

I've been to heartwest 4 times in the past 2 months. Jasmine on reception is just beautiful, she sorted things out for me, when there was a lapse of communication between heartwest and another specialist Dr. I was quite distressed re this situation at the time, but Jasmine, with her calm demeanor and professionalism, was able to help me relax, before seeing Dr Deepak Haikerwal.Dr Haikerwal is a gentleman, kind and actually really cares for his pts. He explained everything to me and my husband, making things not as bad as I had imagined. In a nutshell, I was very impressed with my treatment at heartwest, and follow up visits in western private and back at heartwest..Thank you so much..
