St George’s Anglican Church
This little church (actually the original went to East Devonport as the schoolhouse, this was built later appx 1887) at The Hermitage" New Ground was the 2nd in the Devon area appx 1850 and built upon Mr Shaw's land. First attended by Rev. M. Williams of Deloraine (pre consecration)I have 14 descendants here of the name Douglas. Its a peaceful and beautiful place."
