Ada Tree

The tree is beautiful. Nobody was there, so it was quiet and lovely for us both - but the 'tracks' from the tree to a camp were absolutely not maintained and were leech-ridden. Really spoiled the day..

Really nice walk, few crowds and lots of wildlife on the way. Ada tree is a nice midpoint on the circular walk - a few other POIs on the way for those wanting a slightly further walk.

Finally had time to take the road left and check out the famous Ada tree.It's a decent trek, around 20ks off the main road. But such a gorgeous walk through the very pretty rain forest to get to see the magnificent Ada tree. There is a loop walk but I would go back through the rain forest again if there are no mobility issues. I went on a very cold but dry weekday and only a few other walkers around. The walk to the tree from the carpark is 1.5ks

A easy walk to a very large tree that was accidentally left when the loggers logged the area many years ago ‘ it’s a amazing walk back in time ‘ lots of old tree. Stumps with board holes in them In trees not so lucky

Took a bit of a drive to get here but was worth it. Saw some kangaroos and a lyrebird along the way. The walk to the tree was easy enough and through some beautiful bush and rainforest. Definitely worth it.

The tree is more than 300 years old. It was mesmerising to see such a huge tree. The drive there is absolutely lovely and scenic. Last 25km was gravel road but a front wheel drive should be enough. We stopped at several places along the road to enjoy the nature and take some photos. The place is not very crowded and there is usually parking available. The walk to tree from car park is about 1.8km. take some water along with you. The trail is not that difficult to follow, just some moderate climbing.

A beautiful walk through the bush, absolutely stunning scenery and bird song.The loop is an easy walk but suggest only doing the back half of the loop which is accessed by the fire road at the car park entrance (opposite the sign for the start of the walk) if you have very young or older members in your group. The main walk is narrow and is up and down slopes (mostly gentle). A great family day out. Also don't under estimate the drive out to the tree, we didn't expect to drive 16+km on unsealed roads. 4/5 for a fun day out!

The Ada tree itself is very impressive and the little 3km loop to get there is very pretty through the rainforest and well maintained. There is another historic loop you can do as a part of it which is 5km but it's pretty badly signed and easy to take the wrong turn at the mill. If you turn down a track from the mill which becomes very narrow and then comes to a creek crossing you have gone the wrong way!There are drop toilets available at the carpark but no water or toilet roll. Getting there is down around 20km of gravel road, it is suitable for 2WD though and in decent condition. I would recommend downloading a map and particularly one of the track before you arrive to avoid getting lost as there is no service once there.

Lovely short trek to this massive tree! Lots of information about the forest and ecosystem. Lots of big tall trees along the way.

24kms up a dirt road then a 3km round trip hike to get there. Signage at the carpark isn't great but look for the information board and turn right. We'll worth the drive and walk. Very impressive. Just tuck your pants into your socks as the leeches are plentiful.
