They take a lot of dogs on in peak periods, our dog was crammed in with about 20 or so in one area next to another 20 or so in the one beside it. Didn't see the sleeping quarters but I would think they were small for the amount of dogs they had. Our dog came back with a paw infection likely from the cramped filthy conditions.

Our dog scout (gsp) enjoyed her stay at happy pets. It's perfect for active dogs. They get heaps of exercise and socialisation.

Took my puppy, Bowie, in for a pre-stay assessment. Pete struck me as extremely capable and knowledgeable about dogs and training. I am confident that he will do a great job and I have booked Bowie in for eight days of training as a result.

Thought this place would be a wonderful place for my 7 year old English pointer to stay. We would be able to see pictures of him on Facebook. After nearly 10 days with no sign of him I texted the owner, the response I got was my dog was camera shy. He lost nearly 7kgs and he actually looked depressed when we picked him up. We weren’t told until 3 or 4 days before we picked him up that he had lost weight. Took him somewhere else for boarding and one of the staff mentioned she used to work there and her comment was “obviously nothing has changed” when I mentioned he had stayed at Pete’s Not so happy Pet’s.

My crazy chocolate lab, Harley goes weekly to Pete’s Happy Pets and also has occasionally had a home stay and I can’t thank Pete and all his wonderful staff enough for all the care and love and attention they give Harley. As Harley is predominantly an inside dog, I love the fact that he sleeps in enclosed quarters adjoining their house when he stays over and is safe. I can tell by the way he reacts when he sees the van pull into my driveway that he can’t wait to get to the farm and run and play in the dam with all his friends. He comes home exhausted and I am happy knowing he is living his best life while I’m not with him.

My dog is a regular day care attendee and is well looked after. You can tell if your dog is excited to go and be picked up, and Floyd is. I've used boarding too and am far more relaxed knowing my dog isn't sitting in a sterile Kennell somewhere not seeing the light of day when I have to go overseas.

Not a great set up, too many dogs of all sizes and not enough staff to maintain control, I’m surprised there aren’t more serious injuries. Dogs run around in a muddy paddock and swim in a disgusting dam full of muddy water. Wouldn’t trust my dog there

Very impressed with the team from Pete's Happy Pets.My puppy Bowie just spent a week there and has come home much better behaved and has learnt some great behaviours.I would recommend Pete's Happy Pets to anyone who needs someone to look after their furry friend/s.

I unfortunately used to work for this place. Do not let your dog near these people. They hit dogs, use negative reinforcement and also lie to their customers about the services they provide. I love animals and I could not stand how they treated them. As a worker I was not allowed to have my phone on me (huge red flag) I’ve now realised it was so I couldn’t film their absolute abhorrent behaviour. I left pretty quickly once I realised how awful these people are but please do not let your dog or pet near these people. Trust me.

Dog came back with a cough. There’s a reason he doesn’t let anyone past the front gate.
