As an adult beginner it sometimes can be a little intimidating to come into a guitar store. Eric is a complete gentleman made me feel at ease. Didn't make me feel stupid. Taught me things in such a small amount of time. Went above and beyond what I can in for and charged a great rate. Couldnt be happier and Eric has won a repeat customer.

Haven’t been in a few years but so glad it’s still there and Eric is doing well. Got my first electric guitar and bass there over 15 years ago with my late dad. Great memories and great store ❤️

Such a local institution, hope we get to keep Eric and crew in our main street forever! Passion for music oozes from the place, the lessons and teachers are great value, and while the retail range isn't huge, Eric can tell you why they sell what they sell from his clearly vast experience and product knowledge. Post-purchase care is also fantastic. It's exactly the sort of vibe I want my kids soaking up - good people, great love for making music of all kinds.

I had the best experience at this store today, they helped me find the perfect strings for my guitar and the lady that helped me deserves a pay rise, she asked all the right questions so I could find the perfect product! I just put the stings on my guitar she recommended and it sounds like heaven! Thank you for the great customer service I will be back! :)

Eric did an amazing job on my Gibson Les Paul recently. I was very impressed with his knowledge and expertise on guitars in general. He really knows his craft and always goes above and beyond to explain the process of the repair work he performs. Also a great guy to have a chat with.

I've been going to Ivanhoe Music off and on since 1999. Anytime I've moved back to the Northern suburbs, this is my music store of choice.Eric is an exceptional Luthier and technician. His advice regarding my gear is always 100% and his knowledge of the industry and stronger instrument is fantastic.Need advice or looking for the right guitar or bass for you? After a couple of years' hiatus, I dusted off my acoustic guitar and found that it was not playing well at all. Having read some of the reviews on Ivanhoe Music I took it in to see Eric and the service he has given me has been amazing. Eric set up my guitar aka performed miracles to get the old thing looking, feeling and sounding great again. Thank you Eric, you went completely above and beyond what I expected and I would recommend you to anyone.
