Don't understand the Wi-Fi policy at this library. I'm visiting Australia and I regularly stop by libraries so that I can pull down podcasts and audiobooks from my home library. Generally this is painless. For example at state library in Adelaide you connect (and probably hit accept, can't remember). Not here. First library connection is password protected so you have to stop by desk to get password. Then a menu pops up and you have to provide login and PIN. The person at the desk readily supplied this info but when I asked why it was so complicated, she conjectured that the library wanted to track users/usage? Really? Since when do libraries track their patrons? Is this what we want from a local library If the state library in Adelaide can have simple access, shouldn't we expect the same from Kingston?
