The food was really good. I really liked the service by two staff on tonight, even though the food was a little late it was really busy but the manger and staff did their best to bring the food out. Definitely would recommend my friends and family to try the this restaurant .Thank you guys for your service today , LEGENDS.

I think we have just discovered the most friendly restaurant team in Penrith! Mandy and her staff were so welcoming, attentive and efficient. Our food was devine, the seafood bag was huge and piping hot! The wait staff tended to our every need, offering drinks, cutlery, wipes, serviettes. The occasion was a birthday dinner and four of team came out and sung happy birthday while we cut the cake. Obviously staff here are looked after as they were all so cheerful and happy. There was a 50% Monday night special which was great value. The restaurant was very light and airy and easy to move around, not jam packed with too many tables. We had a booth which was perfect.I couldn't fault Kickin- Inn in anyway, this is by far one of Penriths best. Thanks for a great night.Chris

Such a fabulous, fun birthday dinner at Kickin inn Penrith. The food was awesome, the servings are huge, but even more so than the food, the service was absolutely fantastic. So warm, friendly and accommodating.

Food is amazing! First time. Service was quite slow to begin with but once served food came out pretty quickly. Freshly cooked and tasted amazing.

We went with a group of friends Monday last week and our experience was quite lacking. One couple wanted to order the Kickin’ Classic ($124 ‘special bag’) but were told this was unavailable because there were no mud crabs - they asked if these could be swapped out for something else and told it wasn’t an option - meaning they had to spend minimum $25 more to get the next special. Really disappointing considering it was the start of the week and this is apparently the ‘most popular’ option according to the menu - the fact there wasn’t enough stock and wasn’t the option to substitute the one item unavailable isn’t ideal. We ordered a Kickin’ Licious bag ($149) with garlic butter sauce however were given garlic kajun sauce - once it’s been dumped on the table in front of you there’s no way you can send it back or swap it so we had no option other than to eat what we didn’t order. Pic attached shows how much you receive for $149 as a reference. The lobster was over cooked and dry; the best part of the whole meal was probably the potatoes which is saying something when it’s a seafood restaurant. The staff didn’t seem to know what was going on - they took ages to bring anything out and even when I went to the counter to order drinks, two staff members stood behind the counter, an arms length away from me and ignored me for a good 10 minutes before a third team member came along and asked if I was being served or if I needed anything.Kids eat free Mondays so that was a positive - however our children ordered spaghetti bolognaise which were brought out with no cutlery; when we asked the staff member if we could please have some she replied with “okay but for some reason we don’t have any forks here, are you okay with spoons?” It baffles me that you’d serve spaghetti and not have any forks? It was just really absurd. It was definitely a novel experience and it’s something I’m glad to have done once, however, I doubt I would go back as the cons outweighed the pros for me personally.

Tried this place out, it was freaking awesome, firstly the staff went out of there way to ensure that we were ok, then the food came out, we had kajun sauce mixed bag, there was a tonne of seafood, and I ate until my eye's popped!!! Amazing flavours, amazing food, very fresh!!! Sami the owner introduced himself, to ensure that we are ok, that made the night... 10/10

The good points:- Food comes out quickly- The pasta was surprisingly good, very fresh, vibrant tomato flavour.- Eating off a table is fun.The not so good points:- The wait staff struggle with large tables, bringing out bags and not knowing what was in each but just trying to identify the seafood visually through the bags and not mentioning sauce flavours.- The biggest problem with cooking a mix of seafood in one bag, they all take different times to cook so some things will over be over. Not great with seafood.- The bugs were so tiny, smaller then an index finger, not worth the $29.95 for two and a half of them.- Drink options are very limited- Vegetarians not at all catered for with the options available including one pasta otherwise you are limited to sides and apps.- Did not have multiple menu items- $15.95 for chips. Yep.Overall thoughts. You are paying (a lot) for the experience of eating food off a table. The food is not of high quality and overcooked and when you see how expensive the limited options of drinks are, you wont want to stick around. Just go to the pub across the road.

Sampled a small portion of the menu and was thrilled, lovely flavours, fresh seafood, a clean environment and lovely staff. It could use a bit more atmosphere. Maybe some short videos on the screen they have about how they source and cook their food.
