Universal Store

Women's clothing is extremely overpriced considering its made in China. Not sure if it's just laziness or incompetent staff but clothing for sale in store should not be covered in some1 else's make up. Just discusting. Always check the clothing for make up before you leave the store .

While the customer service was great, I was boxed two right side shoes in different sizes. Given that I wasn't from the area, it had to be taken back 2 hours for an exchange.

The staff at the Charlestown store are WONDERFUL. The same staff member has helped me on two separate occasions now and she went above and beyond to make both visits super fun and successful. Last visit was on 3/11/20. I didn't catch her name but she said she was 23 and she was helping me find shorts. Someone give her a raise. Thank you.Edit: The staff name on my receipt is Kate!

Love the experience, styles and their jackets. Also great staff. Good place in general

Friendly service, left half of the families Xmas presents back in Sydney so had to do a quick last minute shop and the service was excellent, so helpful, will return on future visits to Newcastle

Pretty disappointed that staff wouldn’t allow me to return a faulty product. Im a regular at both the kotara and Charlestown store and happily spend money at both. I wasn’t even expecting a refund, just a store credit would’ve sufficed.

Today, 21/07/22. My friends & I went shopping charlestown square. We entered Universal store, from the moment we walked in, we were greeted by smiling sales assistant. I was buying a shoe & my 2 friends were looking through their product. I was interested in one of the shoe but the size has ran out & the sales assistant recommended me another one that she brought along with her. She said ‘just try & see it if u’d like this one’ I did & loved it.Went to the counter to pay the cashier was this beautiful bubbly woman.. she was asking me how my days was. Had a little chat & I went to where my friends were. They were trying on clothes & the were sales assistants that helped them, they were friendly & they even give us their opinion & kept asking if my friends need them to get other kind of clothes. They were helping & being friendly to all the other patrons as well, making us feel so important to be in their store.Simply the best experienced ever, we didn’t buy much but we felt like VIPs walking out.Thank u Universal store for the special treatment.Manager had told us that the sales assistants were new … kudos to the store . Your training for customer service is tip top. Awesome. Thank u again Universal Store .. u guys are the greatest example of what customer service should be like. Being there is so empowering.

Clean store with products cheaper than competitors in the same building.Service was clearly young aged and inexperienced to meet the needs of the customers in store, reflecting upon the store manager’s ability.

God forbid anyones bags set the security gates off at the front of the store upon entering. My sisters boyfriend was judged and harassed because his jumper had a cloth tag left on it from an online store. The Christmas presents I purchased from Myer have been left manhandled upon entry AND exit, by the Universal staff. As they held it hostage, they made my sisters boyfriend undress himself in their change room to prove his innocence, although he had entered in the store wearing the jumper?
