Ning did an incredible job in making my rear wheel true and it definitely feels a lot stronger than before. Not only that, he did it super quick and it was back in my hands in no time. His fees are super reasonable too.I also had the good fortune to listen to Ning talk about the ABCs (and more) about wheels. Truly impressed. My next pair of wheels will definitely be built by Ning.

So far I have had a great experience with my Wheel Society built wheels. Ning was patient as I worked through my thoughts with him for a fast, durable and strong road bike rimbrake wheelset for a tall 100-110kg rider. We settled on a 28 spoke set up on the rear and 24h front with DT350 hubs and of course the Wheel Society carbon rims. I have done almost 1000km on the wheel without any movement. The wheels look fabulous but more importantly they have improved my confidence in the cornering ability of the bike. I have built a few wheels myself over the years and this is the fourth time I have paid for someone else to do it for me. Two of those were disasters, and another was simple rebuild. Ning was a pro to deal with and a pro wheelbuilder. I can't recommend him highly enough. Saving up to respoke some old favourite wheels now!!

Met Ning at the Handmade Bicycle Show and to see the level of tools he uses to build wheels (top spec P&K Lie truing stand, torque wrench calibration tools etc) gave me immense confidence. I sent him a few questions via email and he responded quickly and gave great advice. I’d highly recommend him and would feel very comfortable using his services. I say this as someone who is extremely skeptical of every local bike shop too.

Cant speak highly enough of the quality and service of Ning and Wheel Society.Had a rear wheel rebuilt by Ning with an amazing turn around time.Not only did he have my wheel back to me within 2-3 working days, he also picked up and dropped off the wheel!Also received updates of the build process which was really appreciated.Have ridden the new wheel a handful of times and honestly, it feels more responsive that it did from factory.Highly recommend.

He was able to build me a custom Wheelset to suit my specific circumstances being a taller and heavier rider than average. Wheel building is an entirely different craft compared to bike building and maintenance and Ning and Wheel Society takes it to a level of an art! The level of attention to detail he puts to the his wheel build and process is truly amazing and very meticulously thought out and executed. Having met Ning brought refreshing perspectives into the art of wheel building. He customises every single detail of a build to suit the user and takes the time to explain the process while taking in inputs from his client.
