Gates of Eden

I'd like more things like guinea pig harnesses and leads but I still managed to find a bunch of stuff for my favourite little man. Bought him a new food bowl some new food and a little man cave.

I went here once after seeing a sign saying kittens for sale. Never going again, it was horrible. All the birds, cats and dogs are caged in their own waste in a dark room out the back. In the summer that room gets twice as hot as outside. There’s no toys, barely any food or water and multiple animals are shoved into tiny metal cages, stepping in their own waste. The birds barely have room to move let and constantly screaming meaning there’s never any peace back there. The entire shop is untidy and smells horrible, there’s constantly a mess on the floor and some fish sitting in tiny containers and plastic cups on the floor. It’s a dodgy place in general and the neglected animals in the back says enough. It’s clearly for profit and have no regard for the animals well-being.

Great Independently owned pet shop. Always has great pet care product, to suit our fin, scale and fur friends.Open 6 days a week. The store owner is always putting in the extra hours to ensure our future pets are well cared for until they find a home.I've personally sourced my reptile license, Eastern Dragon and her enclosure through Gates of Eden, including a great variety of food to diversify her diet.I've not had an issue in the 3 years I've had her, and the owner is always willing to help with any questions I've had to maintain a healthy diet and habitat for her.Couldn't recommend highly enough.

I purchased a pair of Gouldian Finches today.The gentleman who owns the store was terrific. He gave me lots of good advice and was so helpful.All the animals, fish and birds looked really healthy and clean.I would absolutely recommend Gates of Eden.

Ive shopped here for a long time, Always helpful advise, good pricing with my pets food, animals are always happy and clean. Friendly and knowledgeable. And they took awesome care of my old furbaby. Treated her like a queen and a much loved family member.

Great little independently owned store. The owner has always had good advice for my fish, birds and beardie care.

Smelly and it wasn't the animals it was stale out the back where the birds and a couple of puppies were. It was dirty, smelly and leaking. Felt sorry for the animals. very squashed and difficult to move around with stock piled up everywhere. The whole time I was there the shopkeeper was on the phone didn't even acknowledge my presence. When I was moving to the back of the shop and he was moving to the front I had to move backwards because we couldn't have passed each other the aisle was too narrow. Not a clean place at all. I go to pet shops regularly and found this place filthy.

Terrible puppies in small cages on ground with other cages all around . Puppies were dying for attention ! Felt so sad couldnt afford the asking 2 thousand dollars to take them home

All of the animals are kept in terrible conditions, especially in the hot summer heat. Went there last summer and all of the animals round the back (cats, dogs, birds) were held in tiny and disgusting cages with no toys and very small food and water bowls. It was extremely hot back there and I really think the owner of the place should take better care of the animals. The business needs to be shut down and the animals taken to better stores

Had not been here for ages but made two visits in the last fortnight. Wide variety of birds for sale . Owner very knowledgeable on how to keep birds in aviaries, steered me off a pair of birds I had in mind on to a less expensive choice that suited my aviary better. He is also very active and knowledgeable conservationist and shared his photos from Qld., NT and WA.
