At St George Riverfront Tourist Park you have some powered sites on the top near office. There is a shop for ice, fishing gear and fish bait and firewood. There are about 6 unpowered sites near their makeship boat ramp with firepits on the Ballone River. There are a number of unpowwred sites near bull ring. Further down there are about 18 powered sites which are marked out.You can catch yabbies, yellowbelly, carp and cod here. There are kangaroos, and birds. There are 2 showers and 2 toilets, laundry and water is availabke It cost $181 for 3 of us and dig for 5 nights. Posted June 2023.

Great campsite, and yes it is a bit of a walk to the amenities if your next to the river. Would suggest to change the unisex toilets into one for women and one for men.

Just spent 6 nights here. Fabulous spot right on the river. Great location to go explore St George and surrounding region.Toilet block is about 200 metre walk from camp. It's basic shed with clean toilets and showers x 2. If you want caravan park amenities, stay at a caravan park! This is Fabulous bush camping, absolutely river front. Powered sites have some rock ledges and a bit of a drop to river level. Non Powered sites are walk straight into wide safe river swimming spot. Perfect for little kiddies.Cafe? No, definitely no cafe.Loud music? No definitely not.Barking dogs? Bit of a distant farm dog but not a problem.Park is bear intersection of Moonie and Carnarvon hwy so a little bit of distant truck noice in early evening. We loved it. Would definitely stay again.

Talk about serenity! Yes the amenities are a hike if you CHOOSE a river front site. The owner is upfront and honest about this. We were given the option and went with a river view site closer to spotless, rustic designed, modern amenities. Beautiful river views, huge sites, cheap firewood, fire pits and an owner who'll lend you a power cord and deal with a running toilet on the spot. The roos are gorgeous too! We'll be back!

Wonderful spot for caravans and campers. Powered and unpowered sites along the waterfront. Clean amenities and hot showers. Water for drinking. 8kms from St George and close to Beardmore Dam.

This is a very basic park with not much to offer. We thought that being right on the river would be great but you have to drive to the amenities and they left a lot to be desired and had not been cleaned during our 2 night stay. It advertised a cafe, which there was not, new amenities, absolutely not and I could go on. We paid $32 a night and have stayed in far better for far less.
