It was a lovely weekend camping. The only thing I didn't like was someone had obviously shot up while they were at the toilets and put the syringe in the metal backdrop thing where the sinks are to wash your hands. They could of disposed of it properly, instead they left it laying around for small children to find. Im just glad, me and my friends found it and got rid of it properly. It would be nice also if there were powered camp sites for actual tents in the tent site area and not just the caravans. Apart from that we had a lovely time 30+ people around our camp fire chilling and relaxing and it's a really good spot for fishing too but the only thing to catch is carp and boy do they love bread above all else.. worms didn't even seem to interest them. We will be back at some stage but probably not through winter as those few nights we stayed were ridiculously freezing.

What a pleasant surprise this donation camp was. We have never come across a low-cost camp with power!! The community has done an amazing job to provide such a beautiful spot for travellers. The grounds were very neat and tidy, it's dog-friendly, the toilets were lovely and clean, there are several picnic tables available, easy access to the water with the boat ramp, and a great playground for the kids. The only downside is the lack of a donation box at the camp area. There are signs telling you to donate at the information centre, which we tried to do. Unfortunately we left early in the morning and the centre was closed, and there was nowhere to place a donation. The town will be missing out on valuable donations because of this.

It is very beautiful and the park is very well done and maintained. But there was a serious disturbance with an air-gun going off every 30 seconds All night nearby somewhere.

Chinchilla Weir is a relaxed free caravan site where one can set dillies for crayfish while you try to catch a murray cod. It has a clean toilet block. Dogs are allowed on a lead. There are a number of tables and benches alongsude of several stainless steel bbg.

Spent 5nights here self contained down near entrance way and have to say it was a lovely spot for me n my dog to unwind for a couple days or so. Clean amenities but no showers on-site.

Brilliant place to camp . Lots if sites next to the water with power for those first in . Nice new clean amenities block and an absolutely beautiful camp kitchen overlooking the water .Low-lying spots outside the main camp can be a bit muddy and it would pay to leave during heavy rain as the whole site looks to have been flooded recently. A credit to the caretakers.

Definitely recommend it. Clean toilets and brand new camp kitchen. Lovely layout and playground for the kids. Provided fire pits were a great addition. A credit to the council. Donations to the Info Centre in town.
