If you are traveling the Bruce, forget Mackay, this is a great spot to stop. There is a spacious shaded playground, picnic tables and BBQ facilities. The kids loved it.

Visited on Friday and the volunteers were friendly and helpful. The shop was filled with many handicrafts and other souvenir items.Very pleased with my purchases.Will be back!

Fabulous place to stop. I purchased a great tea cosy from the craft shop and wonderful tea towels from the information centre. They have a great driving road map for QLD, other very useful pamphlets, also directed me to a great cafe, walking distance through the track adjacent to the railway line. Memorable stop on my road trip from Airlie Beach to Yeppoon.

Very friendly volunteers with good knowledge of the area. They enjoy talking about the artisans with merchandise in the store for sale or free samples (which there is plenty). Interesting story to be told about the attached Jail. Located next to the main carpark in the Field of Dreams. Handicap Parking available directly opposite. Caravan parking. Plenty of choice for basic toilets either attached or located nearby. Also in the same area Tourist Info, Museum, Sugar Shed, Art Gallery, playground, bbqs. Ideal for locals and visitors.
