Finding a hawker centre in Sydney is virtually impossible, but Ho Jiak in Strathfield Plaza is probably the next best thing. Although I wished the food court area was a bit cleaner and more welcoming, that didn't take away from what was a great feed here.The dishes here were super flavourful and really did tasted like an authentic Malaysian feed. Not only that, the staff were lovely and really helped out with their recommendations. Definitely a spot to try if not willing to make the trek to Ho Jiak's branch in Haymarket.Dishes ordered:- Sam Wong Dan (Steamed Egg)- Kiam Ah Nui Kay (Salted Egg Chicken Wings)- Hainan Chicken Laksa- Jumbo Prawn Char Koay Teow

Used to patronise this place a lot as I like the food but I have always done takeaway as I don't like the ambience of the food court and you have to take your own food.My god, after renovation, they have increased their prices so much by at least 30%. Nasi lemak curry chicken and beef rendang increased from $17 to $23 and $18 to $25 respectively.Why would the owner think that people would pay such prices to eat in a food court with no service, where I have to take the food myself and clear my own plates after. Good luck to the owner and I hope this place survives with such pricing.

I recently visited the restaurant after its renovation, the prices have increased as well since my last visit. The quality of the food remains consistently good and I would say it's one of the best Malaysian restaurant around Ashfield, Burwood, Campsie and Strathfield.The service was good but the wait time for food was still quite long.

I have been coming here for years as the food is always delicious, and I love the authentic Malaysian flavours. The chicken laksa is one of my favourites, and you must always get a serving of roti. Food comes out in good time, so it's great for a quick and delicious meal.I'm reading complaints here about the prices - yes they've gone up, welcome to a high inflationary world. And also complaints about eating in a food court - who cares when the food is THIS good? I will be continuing to come back. Love this place!

My quick fix for authentic Malaysian cuisine and this little gem is tucked at one of Strathfield entrance. The shop and the spaces might be small but most importantly it comes with big taste. My favourite is the Hainanese chicken rice and Stir fry flat noodles. Wonderful.

I like they Roti is crunchy and they have other variants flavour for the roti . My mains fave is Char Hor Fun, a lot of egg sauce and warm.I try fried tofu skin, woah aromatic even if they have options not spicy, without asking if it is not spicy at all actually. Portions for takeaway quite a lot also. So good pairing with Char ho fun

Just a fast food corner shop in a shopping mall food court. Price is ridiculously high. Mi goring is $23. It’s basically just fried instant noodle loaded with MSG….Also, Portion is ridiculously small…Won’t come again. Not recommended…I contributed $20 to owner’s pocket with less than $3 to their food cost…

Visited on June 23.Tried this out during diner time; it wasn’t a proper restaurant, kind of like a kiosk in Plaza Strathfield with a common seating area.Ordered the jumbo prawn indomie goreng; this is good. It is strong in flavour, spicy, & crispy with minced salted egg. Nice Malaysian food, indeed. The only disadvantage is that it is too oily where not a healthy choice.might be a little salty, but it's still nice to have it!But definitely worth the try!
