So glad I found Victoria Ferguson when my boy got serious symptoms of EMS. We have had great results from Victoria's Affinity Marshmallow and Manuka Honey Herbal formula. Our boy was extremely grumpy and had ulcers and within a few days on this formula his whole temperament changed,,,he is a much nicer horse now and back to his old self!. My recently purchased horse was underweight and unrideable because of his sensitivity to being touched. I have a mare that is now 8 years old of Warmblood breeding and training as a dressage horses. I have a goal to get her to FEI level dressage having competed at FEI level on previous horses.After years of having a mixture of amazing rides followed by constant setbacks of stressed behaviour, moodiness, irritability and tension all year round I discovered that she was cycling every 21 days to the T and never switching off during in the Winter months. Every 21 days without fail I had a horse that was aggressive to ride for 5 days in a row who would do anything to not even move forward, would spook at nothing, kick at the leg and rear to try and get out of work. I tried multiple calmers, mare targeted remedies, expensive Magnesium powders and none of them gave me any change in her behaviour. 12 months ago I used Regumate which was helpful in regulating her behaviour somewhat however by day 5 of each week she would show signs of tension and moodiness again through to the next needle at day 7. I hated giving her the needle and the costs were building up and up. Within 24 hours of stopping the Regumate she was straight back in season and the old behaviour was immediately returned.My last ditch attempt was trying Victoria Ferguson herbs to see if we could get some consistency in her training with out the need for needles with the Regumate. I was a total sceptic but had nothing to loose by this point and I was just wanting my horse to enjoy her work and be able to able to have some fun with her. I contacted Victoria and she put her onto an all Natural diet and the Herbal Remedy as prescribed.She is looking amazing on the Natural Diet and even in drought like conditions, her condition is incredible on what seems like barely any feed compared to what I had fed in the past.Within around 6 weeks I started to notice a generally happier horse to sit on but had been unable to ride her more than 2 times a week. By around week 10 she was back into consistent work and what a difference she was. She still has a stubborn streak but the difference now is that she is not stressed or aggressive in her behaviour when riding. I have now been able to start doing some regular lessons away from home and started to ride her around at some larger competition environments to get her some experience in more stressful situations. She has been calm and enjoying her work, we have started doing some jumping and riding more around the 5 acre paddock to vary her training as she now feels much safer and happier in everything she does. I haven't had any indication of her cycling as this was really only noticeable in the past when riding her and the behaviour difference that was immediately felt.She has been absolutely consistent and happy and calm and it is now around 3 months since we started the program. I no longer feel like she is going try and get rid of me when riding her when she is in season and summer time is when she was at her worst in the past. This summer has been the best I have had with her and I have the special horse I dreamt off when I bred her.If you have mare that has issues with her cycling I couldn't recommend Victoria Ferguson enough in her knowledge of getting something that works to find your happy mare. For what you might spend on off the shelf products that may or may not work you would be far better to go straight to her and save money on the guessing game that happens with shelf products.
