These gardens are open very early in the morning so good for an instructive walk before it gets too hot in the summer. The gardens cover a large area but rose garden and signed walk near cafe (open later) are worth visiting for a contrast of vegetation. Maps are available.

Awesome Gardens that you could happily get lost in. Gwen & Joylene are volunteers who we’re both friendly and knowledgeable. Do the drive tour and walk around the gardens, especially the rose garden and over to the WOW tree.

Brought my dog for a visit. Lots of space to walk around. Thought the gardens looked dry and a bit lifeless in a few spots. The gift shop / cafe was closed which was pretty dissapointing. Still worth a visit if in the area.

These are remarkably good gardens considering all the work is done by volunteers! There are extensive areas devoted to planted native species and exotics, grouped into areas of origin. The one criticism is that there are few labels to identify plants in these sections. However, plants in the walk near the cafe are well labelled. Be sure to have tea or coffee there! A must see is the ceiling decorated with dry seed pods in the shelter near the WOW tree.Walking is easy and there is an unsealed roadway for those unable to walk longer distances. The walk near the cafe would be suitable for wheelchairs.

The place is huge, you can drive around some of the back tracks. Awesome flora and fauna. Lovely helpful informative volunteers. Dogs are welcome, on leash. Just remember to pick up after them :)

We walked around the rose garden. It was a little dry, but the flowers had a lovely scent. Plenty of different gardens to look through with specific fauna to their names. After perusing the gardens we headed for the tea room for scones. Unfortunately they didn't have any so we browsed the shop before heading home.

A credit to those who maintain it. Considering it was a drought, it was good to see that most things had still done well. The roses, Sturt's Desert Peas and Mallee Trees were my favourites. The old buildings have also been beautifully kept.

A fantastic, community run, beautiful native garden. An excellent representation of the Australian bush.Australian Inland Botanic Garden deserves proper government funding. It's a great asset to all who care about Australian flora and for the homes / food chain created for native insects and animals.

It was very hot the day we visited so we were unable to walk very far. It appears that there is a lot of work going on to develop the gardens. We did find the tracks difficult to work out from the map. Clearer signage would be very helpful.
