I lodged a parcel here last week, and according to the tracking number it was never sent. I went back and asked about what happened to it and the guy said that he’s sure he sent it, and there’s nothing I can do about it. Now I have to lodge a missing parcel request. Definitely recommend sending your post elsewhere.

Might as well add my 2 cents. Paid 30 squids for express post on replacement birth certificate from Tasmania (I know!). Registered post not delivered and no card left to advise of pick up at CJPO. Found out it went back down to Hobart. Hence, my generous one star review.

Tried to post a card only to Ireland and was told I was not allowed to use previously purchased stamps $2.00 in value. Instead, the elderly man insisted I must buy $3.50 stamp. I went to the Neutral Bay post office and they allowed me to use my old stamps and only needed to buy a 40 cents stamp to send. Not only did Cremorne office deny me using legal stamps, they also over charged. It seems Australian Post can not standardise their charging across their branches.

How is anyone that works in a 9-5 job ever expected to collect their post? The opening hours are completely inflexible and unless you plan on taking a day off work to collect something, you can’t get your post.To make matters more frustrating; most of the time the items that end up at this LPO are due to Aus Post not ringing the doorbell / dropping off in the first place. Self fulfilling cycle of parcel pain…Can’t you just open at 8am or close at 6pm some days?

Literally the worst post office in history.Rude staff, won’t accept parcels of over a certain weight when already paid for. Avoid this place at all costs

Completely unreliable. Should be investigated and closed down. Where do all our parcels go??We have lived in the area for 5 years and I agree with many of the other reviews. I would love to know where everybody's mail goes.We never seem to receive a note to say mail has been attempted and taken to Cremorne and so have to habitually drop in to check for mail and packages which are missing. Each time we go through this circus of providing our details, being asked if we have a note and being told there is nothing for us at the post office. We then waste more time chasing senders, complaining to Australia post, having this investigated only for the outcome to be: it was at Cremorne the whole time and by this stage is often no longer at the post office as enough time has passed for it to warrant being returned to sender or, put wherever Cremorne post office put all this undelivered mail. Should I be checking their bins?In the last 12 months alone:A patchwork blanket handmade by family posted was sent tracked from Ireland, was not delivered, and regrettably ended up being taken to Cremorne. We visited numerous times asking if it was there (because that was what the tracking said) and each time we were told not. Many phone calls and emails to Australia post later it was finally revealed it had been sat there during the times we had been in! Eventually it did turn up in Ireland thankfully and a family member was able to bring it in person.Gift for my daughters 1st Christmas from her grandparents in Ireland. Never delivered, never turned up.A number of 1st Birthday gifts for my daughter sent from the uk also never arrived and did not turn up.Various items ordered for my partners business and sent tracked have not turned up and again, on visiting the post office we have been told there are no items there only to be advised when senders investigate that that is exactly where they are.Just last night we spoke to service NSW chasing a replacement birth certificate which we had been told would be posted at the beginning of August. Again, we have been in numerous times to ask if it was at the post office, and each time told no. Service NSW sent it registered post and when they investigated you will never guess where it was...Cremorne LPO.I am so sick of being lumbered with a completely unreliable and incompetent service. We like many others have now set up a parcel locker to try and limit the number of items not getting to us. Currently in the process of ordering passports and applying for citizenship from various countries for the family. It does not look as though a parcel locker will be accepted as a delivery address for some of those items...Something really needs to be done.

So unreliable. Always a bad day in store when you have to go there. Rude, unprofessional and disorganised. Why do they loose so many parcels?

Worst attitude, is there a way that I don’t have to go there to pick up my parcels?

This office was nominated as an address to which I could have a parcel delivered that is closest to my residential address as an alternative to the street address. I thought that it would be more secure than having it left at my house. I have had satisfactory experiences with other post offices and agents. This office, rather than look up my account and contact me - I have an Australia Post account and they deliver my regular mail to me - or otherwise inform me that they had my parcel they made no contact and decided to send it back interstate (Victoria) to the sender. The result being all of the risks of having the parcel in transit over Easter. In addition their inaction and laziness in not trying to contact me requires me to contact the sender and have the item sent back to me in New South Wales. This is an example of truly poor service by Australia Post. Now I wait anxiously not knowing if and when might receive my parcel after Easter.
