Clearly something has changed! Quality of food has seriously declined. $42.00 steak? Cheap thin and tough, tasted like it had been frozen! Steak sandwich with meat that barely covered the toast! What has happened, you used to be a great place to be? A change of management maybe?

Really nice place! Our son has been coming here for years and we wondered why he likes it so much. Beautiful heritage looks and the food was wonderful - garlic bread, pork ribs, chicken parmi all generous servings, good prices and tasty. Will definitely come back.

We went to the Woody last Sunday we always go there regularly. We ordered our meals no probables. It was very busy as always. Our meals arrived 2 of us ordered the same meal. TheVegetable pastry which we both had before. It looked half the size no flavour and was Luke warm and placed on the salad. The salad had olives through it so we knew that the place must have changed hands as none of the meals were the same . Differently not up to scratch won’t be going back regularly again. If it has changed hands they don’t know how a good pub runs if it is booming don’t change the food. If your chefs aren’t up to scratch get rid of them.

This place has the best food! Huge proportions for an excellent and very reasonable price. The staff are awesome and helpful. Parking is somewhat limited, so I would recommend car pooling

What a pub. Such good staff, great service and food was AMAZING and beer was cold!!! Go here! Best place in the Guildford area!

Awesome vibe was a very tasty menu but too bad the food on the menu wasn’t that pleasant as it seemed the herb loaf trash the salad was trash tasted like Licorice black not red licorice is the standard need more varieties like lemon lime better or anything other than beers and wine. Overall experience I would only come back and get a parmigiana on its own with nothing else

Enjoying a lovely lunch catch-up with girlfriends in this amazing historic hotel. I had the “seniors” fish & chips while my friends ordered salmon cakes and calamari salad. Service is friendly and efficient. Food was so delicious. Servings big enough without being too much. Indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend booking a table as this venue is very popular. I believe they have live music from time to time but not at Saturday lunch.
