The motel is not a 5 star motel. It has the necessities, and that is about it. There is a roof, a/c, a bar fridge in the room, an older style tv, and a dvd player. There is a bathroom in each room, with shower over the tub. The cost is reasonable for what you get. The rate for one night is higher than the rate for a week. There is no kitchenette, you are provided with a kettle and toaster though. My family are incredibly thankful for this motel.

Booked in for 4 nights over Christmas. $99 per night and was paid upfront. Only 4 sachets of tea coffee etc. Sign was put on door to show staff we wanted our room cleaned. Yet in the evening the sign was gone and room hadn't been touched. For 3 days No cleaning, no towels, no tea & coffee, nothing. They finally cleaned the room the day before check out. The day of checkout I asked what they could do for us to make up for our uncomfortable stay and they passed us a blank card with $50 voucher at local coffee shop" written on it. Which we couldn't use as we were leaving Adelaide straight away. I have travelled Australia. Stayed in many hotels etc. Also owned a b & b.This was clearly"THE WORST MOTEL IN AUSTRALIA""

On arrival I was made to feel uncomfortable by other guests who were standing around, staring and calling out. The room itself was okay, but the door didn't have a chain lock like most and the window didn't lock at all. Wouldn't recommend to younger people especially girls, or those travelling alone.

We have been here for 6 months as permanent residence and not once have we had any issues . The staff are friendly helpful & fair.

Cigarette butt in the non-smoking room we had booked. Light fittings hanging of the wall with bare wires. Room reeked of damp washing powder.Couldn't get out of there fast enough. If I couldn't have got anywhere else that night I'd have preferred to sleep in the car.Only plus point was the gave a refund without question.Avoid at all costs.

Don't expect much when staying at the Gawler Motel , drug fiends everywhere, cops regularly frequent the motel, the motel itself is in poor condition. The manager is there all the time yet nothing seems to get accomplished, it would be a nice place to live if everyone treated it right but no one does

Horrible place, has bed bugs in several rooms and I witnessed rooms with known bed bugs being re hired to innocent guests , there's a strong police presence there due to the drugs , violence and general trouble , tenants there live long term and the management drinks alcohol and smokes in the premises while at work. If they have any issues you will get some very nasty over sized man at your door or if your in the shower and don't hear a knock they smash the handle off and start breaking in.. the rooms are all horribly dirty and run down.I asked for a knife and fork as my room had none apart from one plastic knife that was useless and was told no to which I stated my disgust with and was given a fork , also only had a toaster to cook with in there. 'The room is as is ..I was told

Wasnt ever there. It used to be a beautiful place 30+ years ago. I dint even know if its still a motel
