Trend Windows & Doors Fortitude Valley

Would not recommend Trend to anyone. The absolute worst service and like everyone else who has reviewed them has said, you cannot get a hold of anyone to fix any of the multiple defects the windows and doors came with. I have been chasing them for MONTHS to fix a handle on a window and every time they say they’re sending someone out it’s LAST minute. It’s like they purposely make it impossible for you to be there. My builder was there each time and pointed out the handle every time and it’s always the same “oh we don’t have the parts to fix that, we’ll fix it though” 6months later and STILL no replacement. Now the locking mechanism on the bifold door has completely malfunctioned and won’t lock! I’ve had to place a bin in front of it to stop it swinging open. Absolutely shocking quality.Honestly the worst company to deal with who clearly don’t care and have ZERO quality control.

For you own sanity DO NOT USE TREND WINDOWS.We have spent 20K on windows and doors, waited 10 weeks for the products... now 5 months into defects and they still can't finish them. Not to mention the 7 times we've had to arrange our work / lives to make it happen.You cannot get a hold from anyone from the service side of the business, but are more than happy to take your money in the showroom.There is no quality management from the factory, they will send out products covered in scratches and defects. Then they will come to your house over and over again with the wrong parts or parts that are damaged!They will also ring you up to book in the repairs at last minutes notice and give you about half an hr to respond while you try and organise around them.. then they say they cant do it anymore and you will have to wait another week. Only for them to stuff it up againThey are without doubt the worst company I have ever had to deal with.They deserve to be out of business, I hope that you read this review of my current experience and chose a different supplier.My defects are still not fixed 5 months later and they stuffed it up again this morning.. first driving half way with the wrong parts, then going back to get the correct ones.. only for them to be damaged and un usable when they arrived! after i've taken work off for it!

Trent Windows have been excellent. They helped me to finish my project on time. Special word of thanks to Nicola Brown for helping me to finish my house on time. This helped us to avoid hotel quarantine. The quality and workmanship of their product is excellent.

I'm posting a review as a last resort in the hope that this might prompt some service from Trend as no other form of communication seems to work.We were advised that our screens were ready to be installed and we paid for them in full on 6 April and 5 months on we're still waiting for Trend to complete their side of the contract and fulfil our order.We've had 2 visits to have our screens installed and they still can't seem to get our order right. After the last visit we haven't heard a peep from Trend, despite our order still being incomplete.We have tried calling the service dept, they say Sure! we'll follow up for you. But they don't call back... We email. They don't respond....Now we have received an automated text saying our order has been completed.What happened to the several outstanding screens that we've paid for?Trend, we just want someone to tell us what is going on and for our screens to be installed please. Is that too much to ask?

We are so disappointed with our choice to use Trend for security screens. We spent a lot of money installing security screens on our new reno to now 1 year later find out that it’s impossible to have our windows washed properly as Trend uses Prowler Proof and unlike CrimSafe they do not give you individual keys for your screens. When I asked Trend what the solution was I was told removing the screens voids our warranty. What a huge oversight to make security screens and not think about how the customer is going to clean the screens or windows behind. We wish we had gone with Crimsafe. We feel so disappointed to know that this will be an ongoing issue with keeping our house clean and will only get worse with time.Secondly, our sliding door screen makes a really loud noise and comes off the rail easily. The Trend installer told us it’s because of the paint finish we choice which has texture in it. Trend should not offer a finish that compromises the functionality of the product.

I wouldn't normally post a review but have to say how disappointed we are with our windows. Nothing like the brochures. They are the chunkiest windows I've ever seen. It's like they used a standard size window and kept adding framing until they fit the measurements provided on the plans by our builder and designer. Silly things too like having an opening from the outside for a door not accessible on the first level and then providing bi-fold doors that were not accessible from the outside when it was clear that was the only access point. Family and friends have commented on how chunky the windows are and how they don't suit the house. We paid so much money for them its the worst experience of our build.update: I'm giving them another star for following up. Trend fixed the door so that we can now lock it from the outside which is great because we can now use the area and it's secure. We had to spend another $2K to replace the kitchen window with another supplier though, however we appreciate that they gave us back some credit.

Would give less than 1 star if possibleThe service from Trend windows is disgustingI cant believe that I want to spend 50k on windows and have been mucked around for months with heaps of promises and zero action. 40 years in the building industry and these guys are top of the list for hopeless

Recently purchased new windows for a kitchen renovation the end product was exceptional! Fabrication and installation was excellent.Looking to replace remaining windows and doors to enhance the appearance and security of the house, I’ll be going with trend!

Warning, dealing with these guys may drive you insane..Their 'Quantum cavity sliding doors' can only be manufactured after your wall frames are built, which delays 'lock-up'.Trend say they require 50% payment before they come out to measure up. So, after making such a large deposit we assume they will start manufacturing immediately..After a month or so of no news, we enquire how things are going and they say they require 100% payment before they start building the doors.. very frustrating!! after losing a month, they say they will expedite the build, which they don't.. another month or so after the expected build completion, they still have no idea of a delivery/install date.It would only seem logical that they would install the same day as delivery considering there may not be room for storing such large doors, they may get damaged or interfere with other trades. After making numerous requests to delay delivery (so its aligned with install), they deliver before a long weekend with rain/storms, and one of the timber framed louvered windows is left outside to be rained on multiple times.Another week passes and nobody can tell me when the doors will be installed. Meanwhile the louvered window is still outside getting rained on and the doors are inside preventing me from painting all walls..

Trend windows and doors is one of the worst companies ive personally had to deal with. Warning to consumers do not use windows from this company for a new build. It will save you heartache in the long term. Defects, poor repairs, replacement parts and service are non existent. Communication is poor. They deny screening calls, however appears they do from management to sales reps... and they never return calls. They have sent out so called experts who appear to have no idea. We replaced a number of timber trend windows due to storm damage under an insurance claim over 2 years ago. The replacements appeared visibly inferior in quality to the original windows supplied only 4 years earlier. One replacement window has leaked multiple times causing internal wall and carpet damage after each repair. After almost 18 months and multiple repairs by Trend service techs, the window continues to leak. They have siliconed it to death, pulled it apart, reassembled and blocked up drain holes with no result. The builder has said enough is enough and now requested a replacement window. Trend agreed to supply and install a new window given the issues. Both builder and myself were advised. After a 4 month wait the window is now ready to deliver. Trend now will not honour the install agreement. This promise was made by a manger high up in Trend due to the ongoing nature of the issue, inconvenience and admission of no other solutions/ideas. Now this so called very high up manager is also not returning calls to the builder to discuss the issue. Ive heard the saying a fish rots at the head when a business is run badly top to bottom, and it appears it is the case with this organisation.
