Trips to duck hole are a treat. My favourite walk in the lower mountains so far. You really feel like a explorer who has struck a magical clearing when you reach the bottom, crossing the log bridge to a new land, lol. Even saw a monitor there once. Allow plenty of browsing/figuring-out-which-way-to-go time as there is a lack of signage (which makes the walk unique and special but also dangerous). And be sure to check out the rope swing ledge it’s a nice vantage point.

There are several different tracks you could take to get to Duck Hole. I followed the Duck Hole walking track from Station Street in Glenbrook. It was just under 3km and would take most walkers betweenn45 minutes to an hour. The track gets a bit confusing to follow in places but if you use Google maps it will keep you on track. It gets a bit steep and rocky as you get close to the water but manageable if you are of reasonable fitness.Once you get to Duck Hole you will be glad you did the walk. The water is clean and clear and on warm days perfect for a swim. The sandy beach area is perfect for a picnic and there were signs of a campfire so I assume campers may even stay overnight. A lovely hidden treasure.

Not as busy as Jellybean, but be prepared for a bit of a walk in, not signposted so do your research first

Despite reading reviews by others beforehand, I still found the walk more difficult than I anticipated. I don't think it is worth the walk. Compared to Jellybean Pool and Blue Pool in the same region, the latter is much better maintained and looks more decent. Furthermore, this walk is 2 to 3 times more difficult, assuming starting from the station. Lastly, as mentioned by others, there are no signs - the council just does not want you to go there. You decide!
