Buckby Motors - Service Centre

I've had to chase up where things are at with a warranty related issue on two separate occasions, first time I was told I'd missed the appointment but I had not been contacted with a booking. Today I've rang to chase up what is happening with the next step of process and was told I had it booked in for about 2 weeks time (this too was news to me - I had no correspondence regarding this and I'm not available on that date).Also my roadside assist that I get with servicing was not updated on the system so had expired.Seems someone needs to get staff more organized.

Generally all round poor service when trying to source a part for my car. Initial phone contact to establish the availability of a part resulted in failure to return my call on the following day. I then called them again on the next day and part availability was confirmed and required additional freight charge for overnight delivery from Melbourne. Having chosen that option I waited on a call the following day. No call came so I called them again. The staff member undertook to check receipt of part and call me back. Again no call back. I rang them back the following day and was informed the part had arrived. When I went in to collect and pay for the part, the service was very slow and took twenty minutes for the part to be located and sale to be made. At every point of this transaction, I needed to chase this down. Very unsatisfactory service from staff who seemed disinterested in assisting me or making this sale. Save yourself the time and the hassle and look elsewhere.

We couldn't be happier with the service we received from the team at Buckby Motors Launceston. A big thank you to Anthony & Michael for helping us get our car repaired while here on holidays. Very professional and knowledgeable team.

We're having massive issues getting our Peugot fixed. It's been in twice already and it still has the same issue. There is also 6 weeks minimum between each time they can book it in. Not happy.

Took a month to get information by going in and seeing somone (never returned calls) about my 2nd key for new vehicle and still no wiser a week after. 5 going on 6 weeks.

When I booked my wifes MG in for its first service I told them I was coming from Devonport as they have no service centre on the North West Coast. I was booked in for 11:45 and was told it would take no longer than 2 hours. When I arrived half hour early I might add, I was told there where 7 more vehicles ahead of me and my car would not be ready until after 4pm I asked what I was supposed to do, walk the town for almost 5 hours. They said sorry thats all we can do. How do they expect someone who has travelled from Devonport to wait 5 hours for their vehicle. Why book a vehicle in for 11:45. They assured me on the day I would be seen to quickly as I had to travel so far. I had waited 5 weeks to get this booking. I had to cancel the service and have made arrangements for a local company to do the Log Book Service. The service department is no help at all and I wont be using them in the future. 220klm of travel for nothing. Would definitely not recommend this company in the future. The only reason I gave this company one star is it wouldn't let me give it no stars.

Went to book a service recently and was informed they no longer offer loan cars. Not really surprised at the ongoing arrogant attitude of this lot, given previous less than great outcomes from previous two scheduled services. So took my business back to Performance Autos in Hobart. What a complete difference. Professional, polite, and customer focused at EVERY touchpoint. Now here is the kicker - when PA undertook the service this week they found a washer had been left in the oil filter sump. Thankfully it had not entered the engine but guess who had left it there? In short DO NOT USE THESE ARROGANT, INCOMPETENT GUYS. There is far far better - take a drive and be assured you will receive the service and backup you deserve.Buckley should have their agency rescinded.

Never going back. Will now have to travel to Hobart instead. Too chaotic. No one returns calls. No transparency with pricing. No communication between service department and parts.

Every time I use this place I feel like nothing ever really fixed and it cost me thousands.Also the men behind the counter are very rude. They also just don't listen and assume you have no idea about your own car.

Very poor customer service, rang three times over a two week period with the same query, each time I was told that they would return my call, however I heard nothing. Visited in person and the gentleman that I spoke wasnt interested in helping and seemed confused. Quite disappointing as Buckby used to have a good name in Launceston but there seems to be more and more stories like mine. Hoping they can up their game and take more of an interest in customers.
