Great pub food, reasonable prices.

I was on a long distance business trip when I had an unexpected delay. A staff member, after reception hours, was so friendly & helpful in getting me a room & settled for the night.

Just stayed one night beautiful fresh food and a comfortable bed.lovely hospitality.

New owners and operators.Now the hotel goes by the name ball and chain, we stopped in for a bite to eat and the menu has a great deal of variety.The new barkeep was very friendly and approachable we even got to have a chat with the new head chef. They are a very friendly couple.The rooms are quite nice here as well they are very clean with plenty of storage including a mini fridge, after chatting with the new managers they mentioned that the rooms are due for some upgrades.At present the rooms are great value already with the upcoming upgrades they will be even better. I wish the new team at the ball and chain pub and motel all the best it's not often you meet such a lovely and hard working couple at a pub.

Clean dining room always appreciated.Excellent pub food, plump, juicy chicken Parma, great pulled pork tacos, pork ribs yum and salad & veg sides well cooked and presented. Desserts were a great suprise, obviously home made and delicious.Country hospitality, friendly service.

Absolutely wonderful service, such a friendly and welcoming pub. Had a few drinks and a classic chicken schnitzel - brilliant quality succulent chicken, delicious gravy and a lovely salad. All really well priced too.Plus if you're travelling around, you can park your RV on the grass out the back for 24 hours. The owners and management staff are great people, so glad I stopped by on my travels. I had such a great experience at the Ball and Chain, thanks Nick, Biddy and Elliott.

Not open for dinner when they say they are. We were going to eat here but phoned and they were closed for dinner. Got 3 stars because they lady was kind enough to tell me of other places in the area that might be open for dinner. We were staying in Simpson for 1 night so had nothing with us.

We ordered 3 steaks that all came out over cooked, which for a steak house is unacceptable. When we brought this up to the waitress she showed no interest in the problem and walked away. Terrible service all round
