Lovely clean rooms, comfortable bed. Rooms have everything you need.

As stated on the Hotel site, it is unpretentious.However, great location, well appointed rooms with comfortable beds, good hot water pressure, clean and effective Aircon.No on site food offer, however, only short, walking distance, aray of restaurants and fast food outletsI will be back

First response. Put bags on counter. 3 cockroaches appeared. Entered bathroom. 2 roach carcasses. Dry. Could have been there a week, at least. Told no breakfast and checkout by 8am. Didn't get room keys till midnight. All in all, $140 for 8 hrs. No service, whatsoever. Try the Stockman instead. New business. Probably trying to please.

I was very shocked & disappointed with the room. I had previously stayed with pleasure on 3 other occassions.1, one of the towels that was rolled up on the bed actually was dirty & used. The cleaner appeared not to be surprised.2, there were easily seen spider webs around ceiling light. Definately established infestation. The cleaner just got a duster to clear it.3, the tv remote was tricky to work. I replaced the batteries, checked all power attachements & just had to persevere with it.4, the 3 draws were dirty & a but stinky5, I felt scared to walk bear foot on the carpet as I felt it had not been vacuumed6, in the bathroom there was obvious soap scum on screen & again flooring did not appear to be clean, had soap suds soiling corners. The basin was not properly cleaned & appeared dirty. The toilet bowl was not cleaned & appeared dirty.7, noise +++++++++from 0530am the cleaners dragged the metal mop buckets along the pavement walkways continuously & periodically from room to other rooms every 30 to 60 mins all morning.8, then there was the far out cigarette odour for the 3 evenings I was there. Stench started at 6pm then 9pm then 11pm & on Sunday morning at 45mins after midnight waking me up. I thought that someone was also smoking near aircon outlets.I was aware that there was new management which was sad cause the previous staff I was friends with. They were nice people.However the new MGT are just scammers.I had phoned to confirm booking but did not get the room I told I would get. Then to add extra insult the alternate room cost an extra $15 per night.I don't understand such bad business behaviour.I will not stay there again & will have to discourage others.I don't even think the horrible new staff & dirty cleaners will improve even if they read this complaint.

We stayed here for 3 nights 3 weeks ago on our way to Queensland. It was a very clean, well appointed room. The bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. The cost was similar to other motels We had stayed in, and was approximately $150. The motel provided a cooked breakfast as part of the deal. This made it really good value.We booked to stay 2 nights on our way back from Queensland, This time the room was $40 dearer and only a continental breakfast. We may have been staying on a busy weekend but we were not impressed by having to pay so much more for the same room.

We had a fabulous experience staying here. The rooms were spotless, beds are comfortable, walking distance to main shopping area and cafes. The manager was so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely stay again!!
