Great free swimming area bbq facilities

During the summer holidays this is an extremely popular area and I'd recommend going to the pool on the other side of the lake if you don't want to be surrounded although it doesn't have a splash park and the playground isn't as good. On both sides of the lake the water often has floating debris which is annoying and it just feels gross when it touches you. However I do like that the bottom is sand so it's nice on your feet with being neither muddy nor hard. The splash park is great from young kids and the recently new playground is definitely much nicer than before. I don't recommend letting young kids swim here the mild waves are dangerous and the water isn't very shallow.

depending on wind direction, can be full of rubbish [natural and man made], as it has no fence, just a boardwalk

The Swimming Pool, Water Park and Water Slide is the best 'Water Park's place I've ever seen. Even though the swimming pool has sand in its bottom, you get used to it! Best place ever.

It’s a great area to take the kids for a swim and it’s got a great surrounding area too. The swimming pool is reminiscent of the eastern beach promenade down in Geelong but to a smaller scale but that doesn’t take away from it at all!
