Listening to the very solemn telling of the events that happened prior to and on the 28th of October 1834 makes you wonder why anything in the Peel"region is ever named after the ruthless murderer that is Thomas Peel and his accomplices James Stirling and EG Meares. The visit there was well worth the time as staff are very knowledgeable and includes even a tour of where the Massacre of Pinjarra (not the Battle of Pinjarra) occurred."

Amazing Aboriginal history of this place. Excellent cultural centre that reflects on, and teaches about, the Stolen Generations with excellent resources. Theres loads of workshops and activities happening here.

A very solemn reminder of a dark part of Australia's past. Karrie-Anne is very knowledgeable and shares not only the history of events that happened but he own experiences and culture. Worth taking the time to organise a visit.

I was disappointed that the park was closed. There is a memorial Park on the edge of town with a rock monument and plaque describing the massacre that took place here almost 200 years ago. I gather the townsfolk are not that keen on drawing attention to this atrocity.
