I have worked in the transport industry for a long time, and by 2014 found I was having difficulty hearing, it was worst in groups, so much so that I started avoiding socialising more and more. The aids I was fitted with just did not seem to help much at all, but I had to wear them to continue working. Late in 2018 I had a hearing test done at the Hearing Club in Woodend. This test revealed a sharp decline in my hearing. The team there were able to provide professional support to obtain replacement Aids.My new Aids are a game changer for me. I can now tell where sounds are coming from accurately, have no difficulty with conversations in groups and can now look forward to getting involved in community activities again. The Audiologist at Woodend took the time to get a good understanding of what I needed, everyone is different, so the first time I walked out with the new Aids I heard a whole lot of sounds my old set did not pick up, like a car door being closed up the street, I located that as easily as I had when my hearing was good, and today I feel normal" again.I have no hesitation in recommending the Team at the Hearing Club Woodend
