Very nice picnic grounds and BBQ, could do with more tables in both areas.Drive up to Dam parking area handy but walk to Dam very steep for elderly and those with a disability, grand daughter miss out on seeing the Dam due to this.

Beautiful place, if you can get in...No signs anywhere until you get to location and find gate locked with sign saying closed, no hrs, no dates just gotta roll the dice an hope for the best..

Beautiful place but because you're only allowed on a tiny bit of the shoreline it's impossible to fish, it's 33 hectares of water but you can only cast a line in about 3 hectares. The fish just need to stay 100m away from the dam wall and you won't be able to catch them, pathetic. If SAwater would allow access to the whole Western side and allow kayaks it would be much better.

Nice and well appointed picnic area with shelter benches and BBQ's. Flushing toilets are always a bonus at any location. A 1 km drive and 400m walk uphill to the dam wall lookout is doable. Good views of the wall and waters. You can fish here the sign says. Open 1 may till November.
