I installed a Redback System via Energy Australia in 2018. Generally the system has been quite stable but there has been an issue right from the start that has annoyed me where by the battery disconnects and turns off when the Wifi communications drops for more than 5 minutes. The battery turns off and has to be manually switched on. I was told it is an issue with the battery and other batteries do not do this. I have a 10 year warranty, why wasn't the battery changed or the software in the battery / inverter changed to stop this happening.I recently contacted Redback for help and could not speak to a Tech and was directed to send an email to them. It took 19 days to get an email back and they ignored my request for a phone call. Hence my review score. At least previously I had very helpful people like Karen who assisted me.I want this problem fixed before my warranty runs out.

I have installed various Redback products over the past few years, grid tie inverters, hybrid bundle systems and expansion battery units. I prefer to install Redback products with the main reasons being:1) Tech support is by far the best I have ever seen.2) The hybrid bundle system eliminates the need for external cabling and conduit between the inverter and battery which looks messy.3) Affordability and availability4) Australian company, products have been designed and tested for Australian conditions.Redback are the only company I have seen that will send tech support directly to site the next day if required.I will continue to install Redback products,I love them and so do my customers.Keep up the good work!

As an CEC retailer and installer we find that Redback systems are by far one of the best hybrid inverter / battery systems on the market. From the install to the end user the experience is very straight forward. Redback's customer service and tech support is great too. :)

Our Redback Technologies 10kW three-phase inverter and battery system hasn't missed a beat since we had it installed and commissioned in September 2022 by GTY Electrical and Solar. We are really pleased with our purchase. After extensive research, trying to figure out what inverter/battery combo would work best with our three-phase connection, Redback Tech system presented the best solution. The single tower that contained both the inverter and the battery fit perfectly in the space. Its compact and neat. We were really attracted to the fact Redback Tech is Australian owned and operated; and even more so, Brisbane-based and local to us - very accessible if we ever ran into problems - which we haven't to date! That said, the team made themselves available during the installation and made sure it is operating correctly. The app works well. We love that we continue to have power in event of interruption/grid blackout. Now seven months on - we have purchased less than 60 kWh in total from the grid system since installation. Very pleased.

Excellent Australian based company. They have exceptional products for solar & battery storage. The service team is excellent and is always there to respond to phone calls and concerns. This company will stick around long into the battery future and I would 100% recommend investing in the products.

Recently had a 14kwh battery and new 10kw solar system installed in Kangaroo Point and it's been a great system so far. We lived off grid with it for two weeks while waiting for our energex connection and it was amazing.We run an electric car and all electric appliances and we're virtually drawing nothing from the grid and feeding our solar back into the grid for others to use. With no fuel bill and no utility bill the payback time will be very quick, seem like a good Qld company so get one!It's DC coupled so allowed us 10kw of solar on top of the battery that others don't and for reference our system was $20,450 and installed by Evergreen Electrical, highly recommend.
