Studio Something Weddings

Studio Something did the photography at our wedding. Right from the start the team were brilliant. From the initial meeting to discuss the plans for our wedding (before we even had a venue!), to meeting our photographer (the brilliant Leeroy), to on the day – everything was seamless. They are professional and organised but still make you feel so comfortable behind the camera. My husband and I hate photos but we actually enjoyed our engagement shoot and on our wedding day it felt like we were being photographed by a friend – except a highly skilled one who knows what they’re doing with a camera. Leeroy was so fun to work with and the moments he captured were absolutely beautiful. We teamed them up with the great guys from Cake and Confetti Films – Morgan and Adrian – and everything was amazing, the team made us feel so comfortable. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Phu understood our aesthetic and delivered exactly what we were hoping for. He was a calming presence the whole day, and we had complete trust in him, so there was one less thing for us to worry about. Dealing with Studio Something was a breeze, and they delivered our photos very quickly after our wedding day which was fantastic.

AMAZING wedding photographers! Phu has a way of capturing the little moments in between, and he has a special eye for the composition for a shot. He is not the type of photographer that yells at everyone to get into position or for everyone to force fake smiles, so the photos captured were candid and feelings raw. The editing was detailed and they used different colours schemes for different shots- obviously took lots of time and effort with the edits- and they look amazing printed. We are so glad they were able to capture our big day, highly recommend. <3

Incredible photographers and team! We are so happy we decided to go with with Studio Something to capture our day and highly recommend them to any future couples looking for a wedding photographer. Phu and Ellen were absolutely amazing and made us feel so comfortable all day. The quality of their work really speaks for itself!

We worked with Studio Something for our wedding on December 17th 2022 at Vaucluse House in Sydney. From the start to finish, the entire experience of working with Studio Something was nothing short of exceptional.In advance of the wedding they were easy to deal with, accessible and communicative whenever we had questions and super organised + always friendly. On the day we had 2 photographers who shot each wedding party as they were getting ready then captured our special moments on the day. Gillian and Hank had such warm and outgoing personalities that they were able to beautifully capture our key moments plus also blend into the crowd for the evening. They stayed pretty much right til the bitter end, capturing every photo we could want. Of all the vendors we worked with for the wedding, I would say Studio Something were our #1. Thank you again to their team!

Gillian is a phenomenal photographer and I cannot recommend her enough. We were drawn to her style of photography and from the first phone conversation all the way through to the day of and even now getting our photos we could not be happier. We will cherish our photos and the memories captured forever.

We would highly recommend Studio Something. The photographers and admin team were friendly and highly professional. It was a seamless process on the administrative side to working with the photographers on the day. We only have our sneak peak album but our friends and family we were impressed and we are looking forward to more images. We can't recommend Studio Something enough!! Phu and Cam shot our wedding in March and the photos so far are just beautiful! They were super organised, incredibly friendly, very professional, super fast in responding (thanks Jenn!) and were the chill and calm we needed on the day. It unfortunately poured with rain, but Phu and Cam adjusted so well to the original plan, they took the stress out of it all. Thank you so much to Studio Something for sticking with us through three years of planning and cancelling COVID weddings. We finally got married in June and have recently had the pleasure of reliving this momentous day though the story captured so beautifully by photographers Gillian and Cam. We had some fairly specific requirements for how we wanted our day to be captured – ideally that we wanted it to be less staged and more documentary style photography. Our photos reflect this vision and caught the details of moments of the day with even more vibrancy and intimacy than we had hoped.Also, we really appreciated the sensitivity and intuition shown in their presence on the day and in the curation of the photos we ended up with. We also appreciate how safe and comfortable we and our guests felt, as queer people getting married, with Gillian and Cam. They come highly recommended and with much gratitude.
