After excellent results from Wayne and his team on our extension a few years ago we had no hesitation in engaging them for new renovation work. Once again the results were excellent. Wayne and the team are very professional in all their dealings and in the performance of their work. Wayne is always available to answer questions, provide solutions to unexpected problems and resolve any issues which may arise. The on-line portal enabled us to be aware of everything that was happening with the project around schedules, time-frames and variations. There were no surprises which was much appreciated. The project through up some unforeseen challenges on a few occasions, but I can say Wayne was always open to discussing ideas and how we could best resolve these challenges with a solution that we'd be both satisfied with and not detract from the integrity of the project and its' vision. Good value, great work, amazing service!We needed to bring our lovely (and very old) house into the 21st century: update the kitchen and main bathroom and add a second level with 2 bedrooms with en-suites. The challenge was that the area had several building restrictions on old homes and we did not like any ides previous owners had drawn up. As we both work fulltime we needed someone who could manage and do the entire project from start to finish. With a house being a huge investment we also needed someone we could trust to turn our ideas into reality. Wayne was open and honest from the start and we chose Constructive Homes because he willingly provided references, we liked Wayne’s philosophy and he listened to what we wanted without discounting our ideas. Other contractors we interviewed had ideas of their own or said that the job could not be done how we wanted it.The renovation started just as Covid hit and we were really worried that this would slow the process down but it was never an issue for very long. If there were delays, Wayne warned us right away and presented us with solutions that worked and the same worked with any structural issues or compliance problems.The solution is WOW! We have a unique 1943 house that is ready for the 21st century! The charming parts of the old house remain, such as the lead-light doors and large rooms that made us fall in love with the house with modern touches like en-suites off the bedrooms and a coffee station that screams “Constructive Homes can modernize old places even with building restrictions!”While any renovation experience is stressful, we found Wayne’s constant cheerfulness and his ability to always have a solution, or at least a way to make us laugh at whatever problem came up a big help with easing the stress. We trust Wayne fully and are very happy with the result and have absolutely no hesitation recommending him in fact, I recommended Constructive Homes to my boss the day our keys were handed back to us!

In 2014 we engaged Constructive Homes to carry out a home renovation which involved a complete re-roof. In early 2021 we discovered a roof leak and contacted Wayne of Constructive Homes after it was found to be related to poor workmanship by his subcontractor Metal Line North. While the job was outside of Constructive Homes' building warranty period, Wayne spoke to the manager of Metal Line North who was reluctant to assist, even though the work was still within their warranty period. At this point it looked like we were going to have to commence legal action to resolve the matter, however Wayne paid to have the problem fixed even though it was outside of his warranty obligations.I certainly can't recommend Metal Line North, but Wayne resolved the problem at his cost when he didn't have to. When we engaged Wayne, he told us that if there was a problem with his work he didn't argue and that he would just fix it, and he did, even though he had no legal obligation to do so.Thank you Wayne.
