Went to the cave in March. Temperature in the cave was about 17 deg C. The tour is very informative, with knowledgeable guide. Some steps to conquer, narrow space with low ceiling, so might not be suitable for seniors and toddlers which need to be carried.Overall, good experience to bask in the serene environment, formed over thousand of years, discovered by the pioneers.

This is an absolutely stunning cave. It is the largest cave of a number of caves that can be visited in the area. You are taken on a group guided tour and provided with an informative tour leader. You descend some forty metres underground so there are a lot of steps up and down. The tour is a bit over an hour. However, it is worth the effort as the stalagmite and stalactite formations are stunning and enhanced by the well placed lighting. The tour cost is $24 for adults. Probably best to book places for the tour in advance.

Our Guide was very good & informative as she showed us around. The cave was fascinating with endless views of amazing formations, light shows etc. Loads of steps but well worth the effort. Better than Mammoth Cave, visually. Highly recommended.

Tours ran every half hour and the tour guide was full of knowledge. You can buy tickets when you get there. Of course plan ahead on long weekends and buy tickets upfront but don't be late for your allocated time.Great day trip for those who haven't seen a cave.Great lighting and access. Lots of stairs so if your knees aren't the best would definitely recommend taking your time (there's enough platforms and landing to catch a breather) however is still doable and would recommend jewel cave over mammoth cave for those with such issues. If you are asthmatic take your puffer. Most of all enjoy.

Now I am not a closed in place" kind of person and I was hesitant to visit this cave but I found it to a very good experience. The cave is lit enough to not make it dark and as you travel through the cave special lighting for that section is turned on. I found our guide very knowledgeable and gave us time to take as many pictures as we wanted. The only thing I didn't like was when all the lights were turned off. This was to show what the first Explorers saw when they entered the cave system. This did not last long."

Wow! Absolutely must do. I've never seen a cave like it, Amazing sights and very informative guided tour. There are about 250 stars down and bk up, took me mum in who's had both knees replaced and recently a few months ago a hip opp and she did struggle a bit about half way bk up, but was well worth it.

Very impressive cave system, beautiful structures and well presented history and facts about the cave. Not a hard walk by all means but the air does get thinner on the 300 or so steps.

What an amazing experience! Just under $50 for two adult tickets. The cave is absolutely phenomenal! There are 250 steps in, and 250 steps out. The largest cave in the area, this is definitely not one to be missed!

One of the best stops on our entire trip. It was amazing to see the natural formations of the cave but this was made even better by our tour guide Murray’s expert knowledge. He explained the history, formation and other interesting details of the cave which really enhanced our experience. He was great with the kids on our tour too, and made it fun for all ages.Once in a lifetime experience, wouldn’t miss this one.

Magic! I've never been to a cave, and I had no idea what to expect. according to our guide, Jewel would spoil any other cave visit. It was one of the most fascinating, beautiful, eye-opening experiences ever, and I can't wait to do it again.
