We went on the Palm Valley Tour. Had a great day including morning tea and lunch. Bill, our guide and the business owner, was excellent, and would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Fantastic private tour out to Stanley Gorge. Bill was great fun. Entertaining and knowledgeable. Morning tea of hot scones and coffee was delicious. I'd highly recommend this company for any tour.

We had a great time on our trip to Rainbow Valley. We were kept informed of the timings well in advance, our guide was really friendly and knowledgeable, the drive out was really comfortable, and the views were stunning. I'd definitely book with Sandrifter Safaris again and recommend it for others too, particularly if you're after a well organised tour that's less crowded and more personalised.

Recommend highly to any artist who wants to experience a truly memorable art camp trip. Fabulous food, privacy of your own tent, very well looked after.Four years later I still rave about it! Met strangers who became friends around the campfire.I recommend spending 2 days in Alice Springs beforehand and don't miss the Art Gallery. So much to see on a hop on hop off bus tour.

Mark Coulton of Sandrifters Safaris shepherded us through all of Alice Springs sights for three consecutive days. We had lunch under a gum tree in the middle of a (dry) river, morning tea in before our Trephina Gorge walk (with homemade cakes), visited the Hale Homestead Station, went for a wander through picturesque Simpson Gap, encountered Rock Wallabies, Kangaroos, a myriad of colourful birds and climbed to the top of mountain vistas (in a 4WD vehicle) all the time peppering him with a million questions. Mark was remarkably well informed on all things Alice Springs - history, ecology, politics, culture - we were never able to stump him. Well worth coming to Alice Springs thanks to Mark’s help. Wonderful experience.

The drive to Palm Valley was fantastic. Bill regaled us with tales about the area and its history. Going in to Palm Valley was incredible. Thank goodness for his expert driving! We went over rock formations, very corrugated roads and through small water holes. The scenery was incredible and he would stop in areas for us to take photos or read about information on the area. Our lunch was absolutely and he made sure that we were well hydrated. When we reached our destination, we had a walk around Palm Valley which was easy and scenic. On the way back he went out of his way to take us in to Hermannsburg which was very interesting as well.Bill was friendly, funny, helpful and informative. We had a great day. Thank you Bill.Date of experience: April 2021
