If I could give this shop a lower rating, I would. 0/5.I went to this alteration shop for my formal dress. The zip had broken and the straps weren't working either, so my mother and I thought that Galina's was a close and easy shop to have this done. Not only did Galina have my formal dress for 3+ months, but she got the very clear alterations wrong and acted extremely unreasonable, and plain rude.My formal was February 4th, and she - despite being told that it needed to be done WELL BEFORE that date - hadn't even finished it on February 3rd, a day before the event.So when my mum and I went to the shop to retrieve the dress, and found that the dress alterations were incorrect, Galina told me to 'stop being so emotional.' Despite it being quite literally less than a day until the event.Adding to this, the shop was EXTREMELY dirty, messy, and smelled musty.DO NOT GO HERE.

Galina and her staff excel at their work! They have been great value, but are also fastidious, clearly taking their work very seriously. I had not used them for so many years and was concerned she had closed shop. They are no longer in Surrey Hills but it’s wonderful to discover Galina is still running her business. I’ll be back there very soon!

Great services, good prices and they are very helpful. I was very desperate to replace the label on my clothing. Thank Goodness they could fix it easy and fast!! Happy to recommend!

I have been using Galina's Alterations for some 20 years, for numerous tricky alterations, shoe repairs and dry cleaning.Galina has many clothing and shoe contacts and can get almost anything repaired.Excellent experienced women with golden sewing fingers.Whilst English is not always these ladies native language, they are always friendly & willing to assist.After all one is not visiting for a chat, it's their exceptional & well priced sewing skills.I have recommended many friends & contacts over the years without hesitationJennifer Austin

A true gem in the clothing alterations business. Galina always offers expert advice and somehow can pick a solution I would not have thought of. I would trust her with the most expensive garments, knowing she will do a top job, such as this delicate Anthropologie dress - could not be happier!
