The Blazing Stump Hotel
Very overpriced food, my pizza was burnt. Veggies were greasy. Chips were good but not seasoned. Steak was expensive, fatty and raw in the middle. Kids area floor was filthy. Drinks were too exy. Really good kids area but you wonder how often it gets cleaned. Girl at the bar just walked off after I paid, no thank you or anything. Disappointing.

I ordered 2 pizzas from the take away. The taste was good with fresh ingredients, however as you see in the photo the toppings do not reach the vicinity of the crust. This does not live up to the $25 plus per pizza price tag. I would recommend a small pizza at $10 cheaper at Bonetti's in Albury. They are worth the drive as; same or more toppings of same or better quality for a small pizza at $16ish. (see below)Edit:The experience inside in the Bistro is wonderful. I ordered the special T bone and was absolutely blown away with the cook and the size. Visit here often!!I have since trailed the pasta and seafood from this pub as room service and it is of significantly high quality. Creamy prawns, Steak (even the special), barramundi strips, etc. They have always been impressive and worth the price. many thanks!

Fantastic family friendly venue. Large numbers but easily managedGroup of 12 adults/10 kids of varying ages.Tom the courtesy bus driver/bartender was amazing - super friendly and knowledgeable. Staff were quick and efficient whilst staying friendlyWine selection was decent and well pricedFood looked and tasted great - big portions!Shared the gnocchi and it was delish!Kids play area was the deal sealer though. Large, contained and had games, a play ground AND a jumping castle.Highly recommend!

Great pub. Always very consistent, not too overcrowded on busy nights. Food is always great, and it comes out very quickly. Play rooms for kids. Good high-class function room. Live music.

Very tasty food. Top notch 400g Rump steak was done perfectly for the medium rare request.Thai Red Curry special was also delicious with a generous helping and plenty of flavour.Friendly, helpful and timely service.Tables are well spaced but the large open plan space loses a little in atmosphere.Would come back and also recommend to others.

Wednesday steak night is really good. But you can only get one type of steak.The steak is normally excellent. I highly recommend the blackened steak with Tabasco butter!Kids menu is pretty average. The spaghetti is absolutely gross. Just because it's for kids doesn't mean it doesn't need to be good.Kids play room is a winner but most of the machines are out of order or turned off.Otherwise this is an ordinary pub.

The Blazing Stump Hotel
I want to start this by saying how great the staff were at the Stump. They front of house staff went out of their way to make our visit a good one. They were friendly, funny, and quick to serve. They also made some great milkshakes. The staff are the reason I gave it 3 stars, and in fact, they deserve much more than that.Someone with us got the steak, and that was really good. Cooked to request, and the pepper sauce was delicious.What made it not so great was my meal and sons meal. I got the chicken schnitzel with veggies, and my son got kids' chicken nuggets and chips. Now, we are not food critics, but we have had enough to know what is good and what isn't.The nuggets were extremely soggy with oil. And the schnitzel tasted like I can't describe, but not good. Neither of us ate our meals, and we would normally do that.I like to give the benefit of the doubt, so I wouldn't say I wouldn't go back, as it may have been just one of those odd nights, but next time, it would be for the steak.

Had Christmas lunch, great meal. The staff were excellent, Very accommodating on a busy day. We were a party of 8 with a dog. We ate outside - at our request. An excellent experience the staff set the table like the indoor group and were just as attentive to us as they were with the indoor guests. We could not have asked for a better experience. Our thanks to the all - owners, managers and especially the hard working staff who gave up their Christmas Day to make ours memorable. - price, food, service top notch. See you again.
