Recently bought new Bachmann Class 117 DMU. Great price and free postage to Brisbane. Ended up costing at least $60 less than buying from the UK. Very impressed. Model is not too bad either!.

My grand daughter has a fairy kingdom and we needed some bits and pieces in order to add finishing touches.The assistance I received was excellent and at no time were the 'most expensive' products presented as the only options. In fact, I was even told about alternative inexpensive products and where they could be purchased.I appreciated this as it was to be a one off project.While I was there a man came in to buy an item for a railway set. He was told that what he wanted would not do the job. He left very angry where as I thought he would be grateful that he had saved his money instead of wasting it on the wrong equipment.I will certainly be going back if ever I get involved in another project. I visited the Orient Express hobby shop & i won't be going back again, the person behind the counter was very unhelpful, i asked a question about a certain digital train controller that I was interested in purchasing, & i was told that they have no intention of ordering such product, not very good customer service.......

took my nephew (2 yr old) to the shop and was quite happy to look around fastly as small children do. I asked him to pick a train, he looked around again also out side to look through the window oh and once he ran out side to look at the nice car the pulled up. He was even happy to open the door to customers, I tried to have a conversation with a staff member but the only thing he could say was Do us a favor stop running in and out!" this made me uncomfortable as i was in their as a paying customer and secondly how else are the next generation going to be interested in model train if we do not take them along to build an interest in them however in saying that i do not have any problemswith the other staff members who are more then happy to talk trains
