Balanced dishes and delicious smoked chicken breast and salad - very juicy and tender. Great steak and also lovely calamari entry. If you are in Sandy Bay, please visit, very nice place!Update: what’s even better? The dessert!

The most horrible behavior from the in-charge staff ever:After being welcomed and seated for around 10 minutes, a female service staff approached and asked us to leave because we “didn’t have booking”. We understand there might be some miscommunication within their team as well as temporary changes to the rules at the restaurant, however, it is shocking to witness such behavior from an in-charge staff: throughout the whole conversation, this in-charge lady didn’t explain the new circumstances or changes to the rule if any, let alone apologizing for their mistakes, but claimed to be in charge and had the right to let us go.We are peace lovers and left shortly even when we were already holding the glasses.

We took my elderly mother here who has mobility issues. The venue is very accessible with a chair lift. Not to mention the professional service of the staff member ‘James’, who had control of the chair.The experience was exceptional in every way - from the food, service and view to the atmosphere.Well done Seagrass Point and a special thanks to James for making it special Keep up the great work!

A well-situated cafe with lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. I went for breakfast and ordered poached eggs on sourdough - however, for the price it was an exceedingly small serve. My plate was $19 for one slice of toast, two small eggs and a sliver of (added) halloumi. Inflation gets us all eventually.Still the nicest cafe in the Long Beach area in my opinion, I just wouldn’t expect the best value for money at the moment!

Nice 4 take away cawfee. Lovely to have brunch. Excellent eggs florentineAll cafes ..... please, 2 eggs = 2 pieces of toast. One slice just doesn't quite cut it. Really easy and cheap way to turn a snack into a meal. Satisfying for the customer too.

Lovely place for a leisurely brunch. Quick service, not too long a wait for food, good selection of items from the breakfast menu including vegetarian options . Great views of the River Derwent and a funky seaside vibe.

Great dining experience. Good service and nice view. We ordered the scallops and chips, the scallops were crispy but moist in the inside. The seafood pasta tasted not like any usual pasta sauce, mild taste and interesting texture of the pasta. A bit unusual but we enjoyed it. Nice hot and cold chocolate by the river view as well. The only thing was the frequent visit by two noisy miners ;)

It was my second time stepping my foot into Sea Grass, unfortunately it's gonna be the last time. We were seated at a table next to the bar this time but soon we were asked to leave when we decided to move to another table ( of course with the permission of a staff member). Apparently the person in charge today didn't approve any walk-in customers. She approached us and asked us to leave ,when we suggested that we were only moving to another table after being seated , she insisted that we should leave and asked who the person was. she seemed very upset and ready to confront the other staff member. We were surprised and offended at the same time, but we decided to leave the place. I'd say she was probably overwhelmed by too many customers but what she did was wrong. I hope the restaurant owner can talk to the person in charge today, and show her how to treat customers properly with respect. Seagrass is such a reputable restaurant with a professional team, I don't think this kind of abusive behavior should be tolerated.
