I called headspace as I really needed help. I had to wait over a month for my “intake interview” phone call where I was straight up told they are at capacity and I would be placed on an indefinite waitlist… and that it would take over 4 months to even see someone. It takes a lot to reach out and ask for help but after being pretty much rejected, it’s heart breaking. I can’t imagine young adults in worse situations than me being able to handle this kind of treatment. It could be enough to push someone over the edge. It’s not headspaces fault but something needs to change.

Headspace has been amazing for me. My psychologist Jade has been mentioned a lot in these reviews which is great to see. She has been so supportive and has been there every step of the way. The only thing I suggest for headspace in general is regarding DBT groups. I feel like for some BPD personalities, these groups can be very overwhelming. There needs to be a bit more one on one support after the DBT sessions. But other than that, my experience has been great at headspace!

the two young ladies who tried to help my addicted family member were lovely people...but failed to get the addicted member the help she desperately needs... addict/member is in early pysycosis.. We cannot get her an appt with a pyschiatrist for 3 mths or more... two of which have declined to treat her - Mental health Chermside was a disaster numerous times. Addict/member called the mental health counselling line and the fellow as nice as he was... did not know how to talk/counsell her in pyschotic state... What is the govt paying money into these services for if they outsource everything... which takes weeks and months.. not when the person really needs assistance... which in her case .. she needs at the minimum 3 days a week... No help.. no wonder people are being murdered in the streets...

Jade is such a wonderful psychologist and incredible person, but Headspace threw me out the moment I turned 26 with no help to transition into a life without care. I saw them every month for 8 years and Jade did her best, but at the end of the day, you're only as good as their dollar.

I really enjoyed my time at headspace, at first I was a little nervous due to the frequent bad reviews and horrible wraps they get online, but my time there was surprisingly pleasant and I really enjoyed it. to also add this review is not supposed to invalidate anyones bad experiences;)

Most clinics’ environments give off a doctor or hospital vibe. However, Headspace provides the calmest environment. They are openly accepting and make every individual feel welcome. It is a completely judgemental free zone. A struggle with being a child and going to therapy is not having your problems taken seriously. At headspace, whether you are 13 years old or 25 years old, they make your feelings feel valid. My psychologist is incredible. She makes me feel loved and understood. I have learnt so many new strategies for my mental illnesses and things have gotten better. Going to Headspace changed my life and it may just change yours too.
