Classic Adelaide pub and one of the three essentials to visit alongside the Austral and Exeter (both nearby).A couple of pool tables and one of Adelaide best band rooms for smaller gigs.Alternative crowd.

Great pub to catch up with friends and have a drink. Live music gave us some coasters and permanent markers to draw on while listening to great tunes. Excellent staff, chill vibe in the front bar and reasonable drink prices,Sienna Hart played the live music. check her out on Spotify.

It attracts a certain type of punk/metal crowd. If you are that sort of person, you would probably give it 5 stars. They are certainly a very strong supporter of new bands and regularly have 20 bands playing each week.

Classic Aussie pub and an Adelaide cultural institution. Pool tables, live music, chilled staff who'll have a chat, great prices, dunno if I've even tried the food but I'm sure it's classic pub fare.I try to get there for the last Sunday of the month when big Teddy spins vinyl from 11pm to late in the front bar, always some juicy funk, soul, surf rock, always a delight!

A great proper pub. Excellent and supportive live music venue, staff are always great, good selection of booze. The only downside is the toilets stink, no need.That aside, it's a great venue.

The Crown and Anchor, or 'The Cranker', is a great spot to unwind and enjoy some nostalgia. The friendly bar staff are quick to serve up your favorite drinks, with Coopers being a popular choice.The band room is a big hit. Local bands play most nights, creating a fun and lively atmosphere. There are also stand-up comedy shows from time to time.Don't forget to play a game of pool while you're there, it's a part of the whole 'Cranker' experience.In short, The Crown and Anchor is a classic pub where you can enjoy good beer, great music, and meet some interesting locals. It's a must-visit if you're in Adelaide.

Love a cheeky cranker night (especially on a wednesday!). Met my now-husband here. Great local venue for bands, truly terrific vibes every single time.
