I must say, I had an exceptional experience at Zambrero Ballarat. The vegetarian bowl I ordered was nothing short of perfection, thanks to the incredible skills of Max, who prepared it with just the right amount of ingredients. The overall environment of the place was lovely and really added to the enjoyment of my meal. If you happen to visit Zambrero Ballarat, I highly recommend requesting Max as your server - his service is simply wonderful. Cheers!

Partner and I came here for dinner last Wednesday, it seemed rather busy but we decided to wait the 20 minutes to get from the door to the counter. When we finally did get to the counter the staff cooked the tortilla and left it sitting for another 5 minutes as the staff overlooked our order and served 6 other customers, to the point where one staff member decided to move our order onto the back counter for more space for the order of someone about 4 people further back in line. At least when we brought the problem up to the staff they got to making the rest of our order rather quickly. However once my partner ate her Burrito she began to feel I'll and on the verge of throwing up. I understand that it was a busy night and from the looks of it most of the staff who were on that night were new or Christmas Casuals but even so I believe that there should have been more training done outside of hours so all staff could efficiently work their part of the production process. I cannot in good faith reccomend their restaurant on busy nights, perhaps it is different during the day or on quiet days however it is not worth the 35 minute wait and risk of food poisoning in my opinion.

Don’t place an order via the website. I placed an order before 7pm for a 7:30pm pick up. Got to the store and waited 45 minutes before I had enough and told them to refund me and cancel the order. Turns out the store never got my order and we waited for nothing. Won’t be choosing Zambrero for myself anytime soon

I have to say, the last four times I have been here, the overall experience is disappointing- to say the least. The staff are inconsistent with their techniques for burrito making, with some barely filling up a scoop of each topping but others really going to town with them. One thing is consistent however; the poor ability to wrap a burrito. Never anywhere else have I felt so much secondhand frustration - it's akin to watching a very slow train wreck before my eyes. The technique is well below average, and every time I come back, my burrito falls apart, and the outside is smothered in sauce and toppings.I wish that the staff were trained better- I am unsure if this is because of young age they are nervous on asking for help, or if training is simply not provided.

The Ballarat zambrero has gone very down hill. Mexican used to be my favourite food and I would go in there to get a meal a few times a week. However, over the past year, the quality of food has dropped significantly. I don’t know whether this is a hiring issue or training. You would think since wrapping is such a significant part of the job that each staff member would be able to do it at least to a competent level. It’s very rare to go in there and get served by someone who can sufficiently create and wrap a burrito nowadays. Every time I think to myself, I’ll just give them another chance… I end up with the burrito falling apart again.

5 stars to Darcy! My partner and I went to Zambrero for dinner this evening and were served by a lovely young worker who was so friendly, attentive and polite from the moment he saw us at the counter. Our burritos were delicious, well made and he was just a delight. Would be happy to be served by him every time!

We always go here and usually they are amazing. My partner and I decided to order online a bowl and a big burrito. The bowl was only half full with a ridiculous amount of guacamole, usually it’s a lot better portioned! And my partners burrito was not big! Quite disappointing!!!
