The Henry Jones Art Hotel
Great location, right by the harbour and super close to lots of restaurants and Salamanca. Excellent staff. Oh and the breakfast is delicious, especially the hot food selection. We were upgraded to a deluxe harbour view room by Callum, which was a lovely gesture. The hotel gym is great, and the wifi signal is very reliable throughout the hotel. In fact, the entire hotel is very nicely decorated and our room was very spacious, with a rain shower and a spa bath. Free parking outside the hotel is a bonus.

The atrium is an amazing treasure spot to find, discover, explore and enjoy. Surrounded by several galleries and art display there is a multispace archi design and development integral with the hotel. We were just walking about and browsing the harbour, ready to have a coffee back at Broom, when we passed the old IXL building. The galleries are closed on Monday and Tuesday, but still, we are hooked. Shall return for a stay at the hotel soon. XO

We love Hobart and the Henry Jones Art Hotel. The Hotel is located in an old jam factory, provides a lot of history and art. The rooms are of high standard, clean and provide everything you need. The staff was fantastic and the adjacent restaurants a blast. We highly recommend to go there if you are interested in this standard as well.

A wonderful stay at The Henry Jones for work. From the moment I walked in, I felt looked after. The staff were accommodating and warm. The valet parking was quick to put the car away and to retrieve it. The building was interesting to walk around in. There is so much to see! The meals both in the room and the dining room were delicious. I can't wait to come back in July.

Stylish hotel along the Hobart waterfront. Lots of artwork hanging on the walls. Our loft room was very nice. It had dual air con for the upper and lower sections. The automatic blinds were nice too. We appreciated the bottle of wine while we were there over New Year’s Eve. It was a perfect location to attend all the festivities at the waterfront. The staff was courteous and helpful. I would return if visiting Hobart again.

This a beautiful hotel with a powerful shower. and it does a good breakfast. I found one of the rooms we stayed in too noisy due to it overlooking a courtyard therefore noise from restaurants. The other room was fine. Really interesting artworks all around the place.

Beautifully stylish and cozy stay. Treated ourselves to one night here and it was superb! The bar downstairs playing jazz with yummy cocktails was an extra delight. 10/10 would recommend for anyone visiting the area.

This hotel is situated right on the harbour in Hobart. Walking distance from lots of restaurants and shops. Some rooms offering views into the harbour. I stayed in room 105 which was on level one. The bathroom was a decent size and room was spacious. (Thanks to the pillow menu, I slept well) I’d like to thank the hotel restaurant staff for catering for my picky request. I’d say this is a high end hotel for Hobart and I would stay here again and recommend to fellow traveler’s who want a comfortable and classy stay. Note parking is Valet and also FREE!

This was to be the highlight of our trip to tassieSadly I found it rather overratedThe room was spacious, the bed comfy and I even purchased a pillow when I returned home. However the room we had felt a bit like a prison cell. Our windows were high up and gave a view of the adjacent roof. Despite the space there really wasn’t anywhere to sit and relax except the bed, small couch or the floor. And we didn’t feel like doing so anywayThe air cond turned off every 3 hours so you had to constantly get up in the night to turn it on again. It was really hot!The semi transparent bathroom was ‘interesting’ but spaciousNo one advised us that the hotel info was in the tv. (We don’t watch tv!!) so we missed out on all the info about the hotel tours which we would have done had we knownThe lift was broken for all but one day of our 4 day stay. Granted. It was over new year so tricky to get fixedWe didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel. It wasn’t included and seemed pricy. We did eat at the restaurant. It was reasonableExpected more for $650 a nightHowever. The location was great. Melinda on the front desk was fabulous. Very friendly and helpful. Valet parking was also great. Also appreciated the Christmas gift and the family convict info

Really enjoyed our stay- a very generous Christmas gift awaited us in our room on arrival, so unexpected making us feel very much welcomed. Also on the counter is a print out of convict records of persons who share our surname, many people find they have a connection. Loved the heritage features of our room and so comfortable. You can not ask for a better location especially when the yacht race is on. All I can say is that we are going to have to work very hard to make a return stays possible.
