Very nice and quiet place. We reached around 3.00 pm and lucky enough to spot 2 platypuses from the viewing platform. Although they were far from us but clearly visible through binoculars.

Amazing, visited twice, on overcast days, and seen platypus both times. Tons of birdlife too.Need to be very quiet.

Treasure of a find. Always hit and miss with these scenic spots as you never know what to expect. But it was well worth the detour. Great place to have a bite and enjoy the tranquility. Easy to get to. Road is a tad corrugated with a few small pot holes but nothing a 2WD could handle.

Beautiful spot with bird hides, picnic table, habitat information and platypus viewing platform. We spotted a platypus feeding quietly. The signs say not to move, so if you keep still, it's better for the platypus. Also, a ramp is available for better access. Excellent spot for a picnic too.

Nice little picnic area with viewing platform to spot Platypus. Worth visiting if in Bombala, is less than 10 mins from town.

Beautiful spot. Quiet, peaceful and informative. Worth a stop if passing through the areaIf you want a shot at seeing Platypus, either get here earlier in the morning or late evening. Hard to see much at the heat of day as most animals will rest

Bombala platypus reserve
Saw 2 Platypus swimming around up and down the river most of the day. Also great place for a picnic. There is no toilet.
